This was our favorite Costa Rican location and we've been traveling here for a month. There was a pleasantness, loving and caring attitude in the place. The grounds are beautifully groomed - make sure you walk around the nature path. Our waiter Christian proved to be the number one service provider we've met during our stay in CR. He's smart,... This hotel was beautiful. The trees and flowers all around make you feel like you are in heaven. The view of the volcano is breathtaking. The restaurant is very good. The food was great. The pools are nice and the hot spring is wonderful. The rooms aren't the prettiest in the world but they are very clean and comfortable. I... More

A really nice resort with multiple swimming pools and a free hot spring located near the wet bar and main restaurant. We ate at the restaurant and the bar (located in the lobby) and the food was great in both. We had breakfast included and there was a great selection of fruit, cereal, hot food, freshly cooked omlettes/eggs and more.... More

I purchased a 3 night stay at this hotel while planning a trip for my boyfriend and myself. Based on the website, I was expecting a pretty good hotel but I was blown away when I got here! They were able to put us in a room that was on the front of the property so we had a direct... More

We stayed for two nights here before moving onto playa conchal. The room was clean, and the beds are what you would expect in costa rica! We had a room with double beds so one night my husband and I slept separately so it was a bummer we couldn't get a king but we managed. The hot springs were very... More

We stayed her for 3 nights. The location is stunning. The food at the very good, the drinks were delicious. The room was very nice and clean. The walls are a bit thin. The only thing is that the employees were not too attentive.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had wonderful views of the volcano. As other reviewers have said the gardens are beautiful with lots of birds. We had a comfortable room. We asked for a fridge which they provided with no problem. We were told by front desk that a taxi into town would cost $11USD one way.... More

overall I was happy with this spot. The grounds were beautiful and the hot spring pool was okay. I am not certain that its real hot springs (felt more like artificially heated). Pro - there weren't many people so lots of room in pools Con - since there weren't many people, pool bar wasn't open though they would still deliver... More

We spent three nights at the Volcano Lodge as part of a self drive tour of Costa Rica. The gardens are very picturesque and rooms have great views. We spent lots of time enjoying cocktails in the hot springs - happy hours were a must! Breakfast was also good with a range of fruits and hot food. It was very... More

We stayed at this hotel during our trip for 3 days and had a wonderful time. The resort itself is very well landscaped and is a bird watchers delight. Great views of the Volcano while soaking in the hot tub springs. The restaurant had very good food and we had the best coffee, almost tasted like liquid chocolate.... Staff and... More
