The hot springs here are one in a kind, you'll need to walk somewhat, but the moment you get there, you'll have pure tropical forest as your landscape whilst relaxing on the hot waters. there are several pools with different temperatures and the staff will come around time to time asking if you need anything from the bar. It's a... More

We stayed for one night in June 2014. We arrived late and checked into our room. The only concern with the room was the numerous ants. I assume they came in because of the rain. The next morning we visit the hot springs before checking out. We arrived very early and were the only ones at the hot springs for... More

My bf and I did not stay at Termales del Bosque, but we went there for the day. We purchased a day pass that included a horseback ride, buffet lunch, and admission to the hot spring pools for about $31 per person. We also added 50-minute deep tissue massages while at the hot springs for $30 per person. This was... More

I came for am afternoon and just got the hot springs. I've been to a few other hot springs in my life, even a fancy one at Arenal, not too far away but nothing compared. After a five minute walk on a beautiful rock path through the rainforest, you arrive at the pools, spa and bar/restaurant. The jungle is super... More

I just attended a conference held at this hot spring resort. The rooms are clean, simple and have air conditioning for hot or humid days. Because I was at a conference the food we had was not limited to what is usually served, what we had was very good and not just gallo pinto (rice and beans and beans and... More

This was my second trip here, my other friend has been many times and another friend their first. A good value for a large (though slightly dated) clean room, hot springs entrance and buffet breakfast. The hot springs are uncrowded as this resort is not near La Fortuna but near Aguas Zarcas, so it has a more local than tourist... More

With road construction, the hot springs were a good 3 hours from San Jose, but we were very glad we went. We went on a weekday and there were only a few other visitors. We live in Costa Rica and, although this place is just 90 minutes from our home, it has taken us two years to make the trip. We should have done it sooner!!!
