Overall the resort is in a good location and nice. The food was expensive but the hot pool and the mud bath made up for it. It was close to the volcano. The pools remained open until late. Good service.

Great motel at the base of Arenal. Our view of the Volcano was fantastic. We were luck and had two clear days. Nice individual cabins. Very non-resort feel. I liked that part of it. It is quite a drive to get here but once here this is a great place to stay. The Spa was great. Very accommodating. The staff... More

We go to Arenal twice a year. This time we stayed some place new to us. Friends flew in from Nashville that had never been to Costa Rica before. Unfortunately, Montana De Fuego had a lot to be desired. The rooms were aged and showed it. Mold and mildew were not only visible but had a distinctive odor. If you... More

Surroundings are great, staff, pool and food were great. But the room (no.245) was in bad condition. The fence at the balcony was in a bad shape. The refrigerator was making a bad noise, the airco was leaking water just above our bed and the we had some problems with the shower hose. You could see that there was a... More

rooms are cold and not so nice. They are big but you have a lot of space lost: you have an area sofa to sit, but then the bathroom it's veryvery small (we were in a deluxe room), 2 people can't be there at the same time. BATHROOM WAS AWFUL!! A COMPLETE DISASTER. When you was having a shower, there... More

Dear Guest. Thank you very much to vist us. It´s a shame your stay was not what you expected. We really sorry the situation you had with the hairdryer; we never knew about it to assist you and the case with the room key, some times happens. Normally if we put it next a something metalic, next to the phones,... More

My family and I a group of 7 women stayed here because it was one of the only available places for the night, we did not book anything before and my niece was impressed by their lobby (it looks nice and luxurious). The staff was very kind and helpful and the offered us a discount which we accepted but it... More

Dear Customer. Thank you very much for taking time and write. Like other customers, I realize so mention that you visited us during this terrible rainy season we had, which lasted more than a month and a half without stopping. Heavy and constant rains did not stop, also caused serious problems in rooms, our pipe ducts, excessive humidity, etc ...... More

My father wanted to stay at this hotel because he did so during an earlier trip in 2002 and enjoyed it's views of the volcano. Being that the volcano is now inactive and that we went during the rainy season so the fog covered the volcano the entire time...the view was nonexistent. Our family booked 4 rooms and none were... Dear Customer. IS known that you was with us at the time of the longest winter we have not had before. Reports yourself humidity, no volcano view, etc and all that was because of the same. Because of the many rains, our mains pipes, which are in the mountains, were hit by a tree that fell on it and damaged... More

We arrived much later than we had expected, as we drove from SJO. Nonetheless, we arrived and were greeted by very friendly staff. Our room was very clean and lovely. Heck, it wasn't a room, it was it's own building. AC worked great, by morning, we were even a little bit cold. Fridge had colas, chocolate, water, and a few... More

I went to this hotel based on the fact that my wife has always wanted to stay there. The rooms looked like they could use some maintenance since there were some... More

Dear Customer. Thank you very much for taking the time and write. We are glad that despite the "inconvenience" you mention, you always enjoyed your stay.
