La Fortuna in high season - not the best time to be making last minute bookings! Coming from Monteverde, we knew we were lucky to get a room here at all; it was just unfortunate that we were unable to get two consecutive nights in the same room. The reception we received was warm and friendly and we were happy... More

Thank you for your review. La Fortuna is a small town located in the RAIN FOREST, and this year more than normally is been very rainy, this the reason than even to us, hotel owners is been a challenge to take out the humidity from the rooms after 3 months of rain day after day. Very sorry about your experience... More

There reservation cancellation said "No need to call and reconfirm" so we didn't. When we arrived at 6:00 pm they didn't have a room for us! I asked if the room would have been there for us if we had arrived earlier and she said "no, we had two large groups come in today." She then wanted us to pay... More

We believe this was a complete misunderstanding and felt very bad about this. Unfortunately it is true, the room we had reserved for you was in repair on you last minute because the air conditioning stopped working, and also the rest of the hotel was tottaly book it with direct guest like you and two small groups of 8 rooms... Budget friendly, clean, comfortable rooms; helpful staff; great breakfast. Great view of Arenal volcano interrupted by urban clutter. Call them to ask about parking. They will reserve a street slot for you. Very few parking slots available. No telephone in room. Good WiFi; I used Skype Out.

Las Colinas is an excellent choice if you want to be smack in the middle of La Fortuna. All the stores and restaurants are walking distance. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly, It is a family run business. Ivette runs the front of the house, her Mom cooks breakfast and her husband Javier occasionally provides taxi services. The... More

This place is located in the city of La Fortuna, close to Arenal vulcano. There are views to the vulcano, but usually most of it is hidden under clouds. This is a really nice place if you prefer to stay in the small town of La Fortuna, instead of the resorts in the area around. Staying in the city makes... More

Booked this hotel based on review here on tripadvisor but it turned out to be a not so wise idea.
