I just got back from Costa Rica. This place is not good at all. The staff was not responsive. They responded to our request with yes and a smile but then it would take several phone calls before we got any real responses. My room had all sorts of problems. There was no TV remote when we first got there.... More

Arenal Paraiso- Loved the privacy of the cabin, incredible view of volcano from hotel room, pool and grounds; enjoyed the hot springs and wished we had spent time hiking the hotel grounds. Incredible breakfast- plenty of choices even for my picky 8 and 11 year old children. Hot milk to go in that hot coffee, incredible fruit juice choices. (FYI... More

The grounds are gorgeous, with lots of birds and a great selection of beautiful plants, many of whom are even labelled (for those of us who care). The room was clean and spacious, the view magnificent (yes, we did see the volcano erupt), especially from the porch, and we were met each day by wonderful towel creatures and fresh flowers... More

When I booked AP only had 1 standard room available the first night and the second night a superior room so we had the opportunity to see both. Both rooms were nice and clean. The superior more spacious but bc we weren't in our rooms during the day -only to sleep the standard room would have been sufficient both nights.... More

Just returned from a 2 day stay at Arenal Paraiso and can honestly say the reviews are true. We stayed in a standard bungalow which was brand new (#128). The room is big and clean, has air co and a tv (with some American channels). The best part is the small porch with rocking chairs where you can sit and... More

I gave this place one star and if I can go any lower I would. We were DISGUSTED by this place. The place was small and smelled like mildew, with awful lighting. It felt like those cabins in the woods you go to for camping. It wouldn’t be so bad if that’s what we’re expecting, but they have the nerve... More

Just got back from a 9 day trip to beautiful Costa Rica. We spent 4 days there and we were not disappointed. Thanks to all the positive reviews, my decision to chose Arenal Paraiso was a no-brainer. I could not have imagined the beauty that surrounded this resort. The grounds were immaculately clean and manicured, the fauna and flora were... More

The absolute best part about the Arenal Paraiso is the incredible view of the volcano. Not only can you sit on the charming porch in the rocking chairs, but you can leave the curtains open at night and watch the volcano from your bed. The cabins are simple and rustic, not very well lit, but the grounds are truly beautiful... More

We stayed here for 1 night in February & liked it very much. I loved the private cabin! It was pretty spacious, quiet, and appeared to be brand new. The front patio had a gorgeous view of Arenal, where you could sit on a rocking chair and watch the hummingbirds while sipping coffee provided in the room. The grounds were... More

Cabins have commanding views of the volcano and are large and clean. Parking is ample. You'll be impressed with breakfast, included with price of room (try the omelet bar). The grounds are well kept, the staff is helpful, and I encourage you to go out daily on excurions. The concierge arranged our tours for no charge, including horseback riding, zip-line,... More
