This place offers a better view of the volcano (from every cabin!) than any other hotel in the area. Closer, too. There's a shuttle to the Tabacon Hot Springs down the road. This Parisio was a great alternative to the heavily booked and expensive hot springs resort. We enjoyed staying at the quiet Parisio where the cabins are spacious and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on our 3 week tour of Costa Rica. My friends had a standard cabin that was right next to new construction - I'm talking a matter of feet here. The standard rooms are very small and are 2 per cabin. You could almost hear your neighbors breath. Dreadfull pillows and ok matresses. Nice view... More

These were great cottages. Nice bath all wood the views were unbelieveable. The grounds were absolutley gorgeous and well maintained. Restaraunt was average. A/C was a little undersized but we just moved the beds directly under the ac unit after a night of cooling off no problem. Didn't see any volcanic activity but the view was astonishing anyway. I would... More

I loved the town of La Fortuna and the Arenal volcano. We hiked the volcano, and took horses to the La Fortuna waterfall. We used Adventuras Arenal, an excellent company. The hotel was nice, with spacious cabins with private balconies and patios. We had amazing views of the volcanoes, and I enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to the wildlife. The... More

My mother and I had the privilage of staying at this beautiful paradise like hotel in May for only two nights. We had originally planned on stopping here for one night to see the volcano and then continue to Tamarindo but the hotel had so much to do and see that it just wasnt enough time. The staff was super... More

We stayed at the Arenal Paraiso in early June, and loved the location. We had an excellent view of the volcano from our room, and from most of the property. The main pool was empty at the time for maintenance, I believe, so that would have been disappointing if we'd planned on swimming, but there was so much else to... More

Arenal Paraiso 04/05: It’s a nice hotel with lush tropical surroundings. They have several small hot springs that wind down the hill to the pool area. We really enjoyed the hot springs and AMAZING views of the volcano and valley. We reserved a standard cabin, were put in a superior. After everything people have said about the standard cabins I... Booked Arenal Paraiso based on a number of positive reviews. The grounds were beautiful - resort-like - and enjoyed all the private natural hot spring pools at the end of a long day. We had a Standard cabin with a great view of the volcano from the front porch (were able to see lava flow one night). It looked cute... More

Our room was full of ants, in our clothes within an hour of unpacking. The safe was broken. The chain on the door was broken. The boards in the room had gaps so big daylight was streaming into the room. Beautiful volcano view, great breakfast but we had no interest in staying and found another hotel after just one night...
