Beautiful view out of the large sliding glass door on the front of our room/cabin! The room itself was pleasant, it had two double beds - not queen or king, with a cathedral ceiling with exposed rafters. The "front porch" of the room was a great place to sit and watch the volcano. Our air conditioning acted up one day... More

This hotel has the WORST service, It was like pulling teeth to get the staff to help you with ANYTHING. This included booking some day trips which was completely frustrating as their was a lot we wanted to do there. The grounds are nice but it was nothing that I expected when we pulled up. From the website it looks... More

I went to CR twice and it was the worst hotel I've been to. It took us 1 hr to check in, then our "superior" room turned out to be a moist old cabin w/ smelly flat sheets and windows that didn't close. We slept in our room 1 night, mosquitoes were all over the place, I woke up w/... More

I loved the hotel, we stayed in a superior cabin and I have to say they are very nice, and the view is just amazing. I saw the standard cabins and they did not look that nice, but ours was towards the back, and in the morning we heard the monkeys. The hot spring pools are nice, some of them... More

We just got home from our costa rican honeymoon. We drove up to arenal first from san jose. The drive was easy, follow the signs and don't turn down any dirt roads. We rented a car, which I suggest because the town is a few miles away and there are some good, cheaper restaurants to eat at. We never ate... More

The resort was nice. The grounds were very nice and the food was good. We stayed in a standard bungalow. It wasn't the best. I didn't get a chance to see a better bungalow, but the one we had didn't have they best beds or cover. It was okay. The hot springs pool was not all that.

After the 3 hour ride from Liberia, which goes by fast b/c you go by Lake Arenal and get beautiful views, we pulled in to Arenal Paraiso. Not this grandest entrance but a nice lobby greet you. That doesn't matter bc you are so excited you have Arenal Volcano behind you. Check in was smooth and fast. We were in... More

We could not believe how close this resort is to the Arenal Volcano. Every cabin has a perfect view of the volcano. The grounds are meticulously kept and it is like staying in a botanical garden. It is quiet and in the morning, you hear tropical birds and howler monkeys. The cabins are made entirely of beautifully finished tropical wood... More

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights at the Arenal Paraiso a few weeks ago. The hotel is only okay. The location was good, right off the main road and with a view of the volcano. We stayed in a standard room (cabin). The room was small, and very basic which was fine since we had booked several activities... More

My daughter originally planned to get married at the Arenal Paraiso Resort, but a few weeks before the wedding they let her know that they didn't want any loud music at the reception that would bother the other guests or the people in the spa area. So after being engaged for a year, she moved her wedding ceremony & reception... More
