The only one advantage of this hotel is that it's situated closed to volcano Arenal and national park. We reserved superior room for 3 adults per 1 night. When we arrive, we saw 2 single beds. As this is superior room we expected to see good furniture, bathroom and etc. But the furniture is old, there is no ventilation in the... More

First off the property was beautiful. We had a really nice view of the volcano from our room. One thing I didn't like was that our room was so far away from the pools. I didn't think it was going to be a bad walk, but when it's hot, rainy or late, the room seems like a mile always (room137). The... More

There is only one good thing about my experience at this hotel, that was the delightful and helpful front desk lady who joined a month before. She was amazing. Her colleague. a young male, was the most unhelpful and rude front desk staff I have encountered in a while. But aside from that - rooms are terrible value for money.NO... More

Confirming that many of the cabins as of July 2015 are worthy of a Japanese prisoner of war camp. Also confirming that there is no current modernization going on at this property. If you have a cabin like ours -- cabin 125, expect no safe, patchy hot water, not enough space in the room to open your suitcase, not enough... More

After a week of camping in Santa Teresa, this is exactly what we needed. Very friendly staff, cozy rooms, quite atmosphere and they did great with the hot springs water design: they did a lot of small private pools that flow from the top of the pool area through green fences which are classified from hottest in the top to... The room was reasonably dated but had comfortable beds which the sheets and mrks on them, the toilets were a bit of a mess and the water heating was powered by solar power and when it rained and was cloudy most of the day the showers were freezing which is one of the problems. The cabin had great views over... More

Rented two individual cabins for our family. Each cabin has a main room with two full size beds, 2 closets, small mini-fridge and a separate bathroom with stand-up shower. Enclosed and covered front porch. Since this was one of the higher priced hotels in the area, we believed it would be more up to date. Both cabins need lots of... More

As a travel agent I stay in a lot of hotels worldwide and I have to say that this hotel is perfect for a quiet getaway to unplug. We had a cabin for one night with a view of the volcano that was amazing. We didn't get to eat at the restaurant but the hotel was quaint, comfortable and clean.... More

Dear guest We are glad to see that you had a great stay at our hotel, like you say “one night isn’t enough”. At our hotel, you can enjoy from Zip Line tours to horseback riding; also one of the best experiences in hot springs in the area of La Fortuna. Also at our restaurant, you can enjoy of a... More

I went to Arenal Paraiso for vacations during October, it was the ranning season so the thermal waters felt really good. the cabins are really quiet and clean. Food was good during the breakfast, the lunch and dinner are kind of expesive vs quality. This place is really relaxing and there is a lot of nature and good things enjoy.

The hotel seemed nicer on the pictures. It was old and worn down. We couldn't keep any of our things in the bathroom because of the ants. Never leave food on the counter, they will litterally invade it in no time. The hot springs is for free, but we don't know if they were real? They seemed fake. The pool... More
