I stayed here for 2 nights, I highly recommend this hotel. Definitely take advantage of the hot springs (Baldi Hot Springs) in Arenal. Take a trip to the La Fortuna Waterfall....It's worth the climb down (which wasn't bad if you're in decent shape) and back up (definitely harder than climbing down, but you can go at your own pace). Make... more

No trip to Costa Rica is complete without a trip to the central valley and Tilajari Resort is the place to stay. The hotel itself is extremely nice and the staff is very friendly. They is so much to do-horseback riding, rain forest hike, butterflies, a tour to Arenal (the night visit to the hot springs a must), canopy tour... more

Amazing place! The green of the surroundings and the quiet San Carlos river were the perfect scenario for a peaceful weekend. People there were very friendly; they made sure we had a wonderful time. I especially enjoyed the butterfly garden because the caretaker took the time to explain their whole life cycle. What can I say, even the Iguanas were... more

I've travelled a lot, but this is the best hotel/resort that I have ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious, clean & nicely decorated. But the grounds of the hotel are amazing! On the property, my family saw an opposum, a sloth, basilisk lizards, butterfulies, & countless iguanas. We even saw a few crocodiles on the opposite bank of the... more

This was a very nice hotel and grounds. The people and service were top notch. The room and bathroom was very clean. The air conditioner was nice and cold. The grounds surrounding the hotel are beautiful. The rain forest are nearby. There is a river you can walk along and see wildlife. They have free wi-fi I would definitely stay... more

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We booked the hotel through [--]Swiss Travel Services, and were pleased with the location, the lodging, the service, the food, and everything else - in every way. We had originally booked a standard room, but because they knew we were coming on our honeymoon, they gave us a free upgrade at... more

I saw the wonderful write-ups for this hotel here on Trip Advisor and booked a stay here at the end of a trip to Costa Rica. We had planned to stay four nights but we fled the next morning. Even if there hadn't been tour buses full of teenage soccer players from the States staying there, the food would have... more

We stayed 2 nights here, as part of a tour of Costa Rica. Wish it had been longer! After staying in the Tortoguero region on the Caribbean coast, and before a week on the Pacific coast, this was our favourite hotel. The grounds were well tended and full of iguanas and interesting birds. There was even a sloth up a... more

We booked our vacation through Gate I Travel. Hotel Tilajari was included in the package and it was fantastic. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms new. The Tilajari is actually on a wildlife reserve so you can see tropical birds and the river passes right by some of the hotel rooms and spa/swimming pool. Most of the tours booked... more

We were in Costa Rica for 10 days, spending 4 nights at Tilajari. We were in a two bedroom with the balcony looking out over the river. The staff was always accomadating. We went on several tours and especially enjoyed the horseback ride to the Arenal Volcano with Justin Hamilton. The food at the resort was excellant. Would stay here... more
