This is in a great location for river rafting and hiking, but it's far from the nearest town and a bit isolated. If you want to get away from it all, this is a great place. If you're looking for a choice of restaurants and attractions, go somewhere else. Here there is tennis, horseback riding, hiking and rafting. Perfect for... More

This hotel is spread out over several long walkways, and our rooms faced the San Carlos River. Our building was near the tennis courts on the upper level with a balcony. We could sit outside and watch the river rushing by, Snow storms in the N.E. of the USA brought heavy rains to Costa Rica and the rivers were high.... More

The whole setting of the hotel is brilliant, exstensive grounds leading down to a large river with crocodiles resting on the banks. The area is a wildlife paradise with scores of birds and iguanas to be found all around you, we even had a Two Toed Sloth not more than 4 metres up in a tree that stayed put for... More

Good price! Clean rooms, but in the entrance they leave in the floor a metal "stop" (to stop the door) but it doesn`t have any sense, me and my son hit in that "stop" and it really hurt! The breakfast was ok! Very good service in the check in and check out! The pool is not clean. Is a very... More

This place is beautifully set along the San Carlos River. The grounds are in excellent shape with wildlife (many iguanas, birds, butterflies) and interesting fauna.. The rooms are in two 2-story buildings to the left of the reception building. Our room was simple, but had a sizable clean shower. The beds are dated. Unfortunately, when we tried to move in,... Very good hotel inside the nature! Our room was quite far from the reception but it was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner was good but we enjoyed especially the scenery and the whole atmosphere in the hotel, we felt like being in the forest. It is a pity we stayed there only for one night.

We stayed here for a few days on a tour of Costa Rica and found the location remote but very relaxing. The staff was very pleasant and the food was very good. They have a very nice bar area and a nice dinning area where birds are fed just outside each morning. We walked in the early morning to avoid... More

I stayed with a film crew this week (early December - very, very rainy) and we used the resort as home base for 3 days while traveling to various activities like zip lining, hot springs, hiking, kayaking and more. The hotel rooms are clean with comfortable beds, tile floors, and a nice balcony overlooking the river (I was in 501).... More

We stayed here on our Travelsphere tour of Costa Rica and we loved it. Our room was on the ground floor of one of the blocks facing the river, it was spacious and comfortable with very good facilities though I did think some fresh paint would not go amiss. The food was tasty with lots of choice and very reasonably... More
