Tabacon is on the pricey side but the experience of staying at a 5-star resort is a MUST try for any wannabe balneologist. I've been addicted to hot springs since my visit to Costa Rica and have been hunting them ever since. Our stay included daily breakfast buffet at Los Tucanes. It was the 1st time my then boyfriend (now... More

The room we stayed in was great. Here is what wasn't: - Overpriced!!! High prices for food with additional of 10% service charge and 13% was outrageous. They also ask for tips. Breakfast for 2 cost me $60. Dining in NYC is much cheaper and better. - Nothing to do!!! There is absolutely nothing to do in the area, except... More

The Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort is an excellent place to relax and enjoy the active Costa Rican ecosystem. The rooms are excellent, the service does not leave for anything and the food is amazing. The Thermal pools just a block down the road offer respite from an active day. In the pools you can opt for the serene Shangri-La... More

First, the reservation process was easy and communication from the resort staff was timely and clear. Check-in and check-out process was good and everyone was helpful. We enjoyed our stay here. Our room was huge and comfortable. It was clean, cozy and relaxing. We were on the second floor and the staff was kind enough to haul our luggage up... More

We heard the springs were amazing, and since it's $60 a day for the springs but free when you stay there we thought it worth it to stay. The springs were indeed SO, SO beautiful, relaxing, and there's really nothing like this that I have ever seen. We will say that the food and drinks were really expensive, and I'm... More

The hotel is very good, the hot springs are 300m away and there are shuttles to take you if you don't want walking. You should stay two full days, one to enjoy the hot springs 39 degrees and the other to visit the natural park Vulcan tenorio The only issue in this hotel is that you are completely dependent in... Beautiful resort. Everything was well done and everyone was very friendly and personal. The hotel area is separate from the hot springs area and requires a 300 meter shuttle/walk down the road. There is a special area of the hot springs for hotel guests only. It was like having the place ourselves. The spa really is world class. We did... More

This place is awesome and can be relaxing. It was very crowded however with families and couples. Swim up bar very crowded but yummy drinks. We would visit again but late in the day to try to avoid all the kids, in order to have a more romantic time.

WOW! This is resort is a must just like its Hot Springs!!! Tabacon Guest Relations found out we were on our honeymoon. To our surprise, they put us in the honeymoon with a vies of the volcano from our room. It was truly like being in a dream. Everyone greeted us with a smile and hello which made us feel... More

The hotel is very nice, above average. After traveling the world, I would not characterize it as 5 star at all. Service is good, but 5 star is amazing. I had some trouble getting help sometimes. Food was fine not stunning. Buffet at the spa is pricey and above tourist trap but more mediocre american food. However with staying there,... More
