This place is a great way to stay at a hotel with amenities near by (restaurants, grocery store, and tours) without the hustle of being located in town. Plus it is only a $3 cab ride to the main town. We arrived early, and David the owner, greeted us and informed us that our room was not yet ready, but... More

This property is a gem! Stayed here for 3 days and could have stayed longer. The room was clean and comfortable, the pool area was lovely, and David was so friendly and helpful. It was a fantastic way to start our Costa Rican holiday. A bit of a walk into town but lots of places close by to eat. Definitely... More

This hotel is much more proximate to the town of La Fortuna (where restaurants and other signs of civilization are found) than the large resorts with springs which are about 10 minutes from the town if you have a car available. Hotel Bijagua is compact but very well-designed and landscaped. It is one of those little gems that travelers hope... More

Great hotel with a superfriendly owner. He really makes you feel like home. The rooms are spatious, extremely clean, good bedding and nice bathroom. We had a room with a kitchen which is a surplus because no breakfast is served. It's better if you have a car. Pool area is nice.

The hotel was perfect for us, it was quiet with a beautiful view and pool. Rooms were very clean and had everything. A/c, wifi, hot shower, mini fridge, comfy beds and a porch. The staff was very nice as well, the main person we dealt with was David and he was super helpful and informative, and very nice. The hotel... More

Small quaint family owned hotel with very personalized service. David greeted us warmly, we had a very nice room steps from the pool which our 2 girls, aged 7 and 9, took full advantage of. There is a very nice outdoor kitchen for all to use, we bought groceries right next door and ate outside on the picnic table. There... More

If you are looking for a reasonably priced and quality hotel with a view of the volcano, the Hotel Bijagua cannot be beat. Fortunately I took photos of Arenal from my room’s patio the day I arrived for a 4 day stay in the area, as it rained and was cloudy for the remaining 3 ½ days. The hotel is... More

This place, from outside on the road, looks like nothing at all, but don't be mistaken, this place is a hidden gem. The rooms are located around a pool and beautiful and abundant plants and exotic flowers. Staff is very available and gave us great tips on what activities to do in the region. We had the room with a... More

Awesome! David, the young owner/manager of the hotel is a fantastically friendly, helpful, outgoing guy, who spoke very good English and didn’t make too much fun of my broken Spanish (thank you)! This place is charming, with clean, spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, a beautiful clean pool and gardens, and a lovely gentleman groundskeeper tending to the property keen on... More

The rooms were clean and had everything you need. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Any tour you wanted could be booked from the front desk at the same price you would get from anywhere else in town. There was an outside cooking area free for everyone to use to make their own meals which was handy... More
