The ground were extremely well kept. You need to taxi to go into town though. Approx taxi ride about 10 mins. Great view of the volcano! We walked to the waterfalls from the hotel. Walking at a good pace it took 45 mins.

Loved this place. Away from all the traffic in town and very peaceful. We enjoyed using the hammocks each morning. If you stay in one of the smaller rooms the walls are pretty thin. Could hear our neighbors talking. Breakfast was good each morning. Fresh fruit was delicious. Had enough of the rice and beans for a while. The views... More

This charming little facility was exactly what we were looking for for our first stop in Costa Rica. We stayed three nights in early March. Clean, picturesque and quiet (except for Nature's sounds). Breakfast was good, varied and plentiful. While english is definitely not the first language, the owner's and their help were all pleasant and did their best to... More

Stayed here for one night trip to see the Volcano and Catatrata Fallls. The room includes a nice breakfast in the morning, It is set in a lovely jungle like surrounding. The grounds are well kept and the room was very clean. I would recommend this place if your are looking for a room that won't break your pocket book.... More

My family and I were very happy with this property. My husband and I were traveling with our 3 teenagers and this property was perfect for us because we were able to have 2 adjoining rooms in one building that had plenty of space to accommodate us all very comfortably. The rooms were basic and clean. The breakfast was good.It... More

We had made reservations for this hotel 4 days in advance. First is about 5 minutes from the main road true not so tourist looking neighborhood. Upon our arrival to the reception the lady who was there seemed to be more interested on the phone than us. for starter they had the reservation wrong (not for a family or 4... More

Loved this place. The family owners were really kind and helpful - we coped well though we spoke no Spanish and they spoke little English. Breakfast was cooked by mum at a time to suit you. It was lovely - we had different things both days. Scrummy fruit followed by a cooked meal( eg traditional rice and beans and eggs... More

The grounds are beautiful. The cabin was spacious. Some small touches like hangs for towels in bathroom can improve it. Breakfast was simple but good. But the most important was the hospitality of owners and willingness to help with our vacation plans.

We chose this property because we are a family of five. The room was perfect for us, two queens and bunk beds. We came to explore La Fortuna and the volcano for a couple of days. While we couldn't see the volcano because of cloud cover, on a clear day you would have a great view while enjoying your breakfast.... More
