The staff of Arenal Hostel Resort are fantastic! They were willing to work with us and make any changes needed to accommodate our group. The food was wonderful and the price of the food and lodging was very reasonable.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was massive, and while we appreciated the space, it was lacking in some of the little things backpackers generally need/want. The hostel is located right in the centre of la fortuna but is a peaceful retreat a world away from the town. The hostel is good considering its a hostel and not a hotel, although its pricy as a hotel too. The buts are that the showers are not hot , just slightly warm and there's loud (comercial) music playing on the pool until late so don't forget your ear plugs in case you have an early tour the next morning and...
