The rooms are simple yet very clean. You have everything you need. The place is very well maintained and safe. Derrick (the owner) was so helpful and kind. He went well out of his way to ensure we were able to enjoy our time in Fortuna. He hooked us up with an impressive night hike with a local to see... More

The rooms are simple and clean. Quite a good location for wandering La Fortuna and a great deal in order to save money for the activities on and around the volcano. The owners were really pleasant and helpful.

Derek is an absolute legend, our friend had walked in enquiring about free rooms, they were full so Derek let us use the spare rooms at the front of his house. The backyard is huge and the communal kitchen has everything you need. A mini detour in terms of our travel plans but Derek made it for sure! Only thing... More

The owner Derrick is very helpful and a great guy, so is his son! They helped us with contacting guides and even drove my sister to the doctor when she got sick at night. A perfect budget hotel. Nice rooms, just in the center. I would stay there again.

We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting many attractions near la fortuna and volcano Arenal. This place is perfect, quiet yet close to the center of la fortuna. Rooms are very basic, with a hot shower. Outside there is a common kitchen area which is great to make breakfast. At the moment it's only shared by 4 rooms. The... More

We stayed 4 nights there. It is not the typical Hotel Backpackers but there is everything you need. Rooms are clean, spacious, and we had our own bathroom for 10$ per personn. Also it is a great way to meet locals who live and work in the area. The owner is really helpful, he booked baot jeep boat for us... More

Stayed here for three days as a solo traveller and was well looked after by Dadeo the hostel owner, who made sure I got my brekkie on time every morning, and got my laundry done on time. It was the cheapest place I stayed during my entire trip in Costa Rica and I would highly recommend it. It is basic... More

I had booked 3 double rooms for our family of 6, through Hostelworld. Booked it 4 months before as I was worried about getting rooms just before Christmas. One month before our arrival I mailed with the manager, Carmen, and confirmed that we wanted 3 rooms. When we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the day she was... More

My review will be a little biased because the owner was not here when we stayed, so I'm sure it would have been better. First off, the sheets were dirty, the pillow had mold, the room smelled musty, and overall it just wasn't clean. I'm not sure if this was due to the rain or what, but regardless it wasn't... More

Posada Inn is very well run by Carmen. She hosts you and gives all information and support you may need. Clean rooms with hot shower were OK, but her attention and the breakfast was what made the difference. The breakfast had the best Gallo Pinto we eat in all Central America. It was also important for us to have secure... More
