We stayed here for the first 3 nights of our 2 week trip to Costa Rica. We wished we had spent a week here. We are a family of 4, with two boys aged 7 and 9. This lodge is really hard to describe, it is an eco-lodge with private rooms but many layers of outdoor living space. Rooms are... More

My group and I (a group of 6 teenagers and 3 chaperones from Memphis) were connected with William by the man who owned our first BnB, and I am so grateful that William was part of our Costa Rican experience; he was readily available for any questions we had about the Arenal region and things to do. Actually, William and... More

We recently stay here in the off season and the staff and lodge were wonderful. Since it was the off season the pool was not open yet but we didnt need it. So much more to doWe left our pets behind but we had their pets while we were the and it made the place feel like home. The property... More

This place was truly beautiful. We recently stayed here for the first leg of our family trip. We only stayed two nights, but wish we had more time there. William and the other staff were exceptional. The whole place feels like a grownup treehouse with a wonderful view of the volcano and the gorgeous flora CR is known for. We... More

This is a really special place -- a lodge, definitely off the beaten path, in the middle of the jungle. We stayed there over Easter with two families - 4 adults, 5 kids - and had an absolutely wonderful time. William, who manages the property, was a fantastic host, helping us plan our days and showing us around the large... More

This is a special place. It is not for everyone. Like a previous reviewer said, leave your American attitude at home and enjoy this Costa Rican experience. This is a rustic lodge, with the basics provided. However, the staff (William is the kind, most helpful and knowledgeable manager) are wonderful, the meals simple but fresh, authentic, ample. We ended up... More

We stayed here during valentines with our entire family, including our dog. Everyone loved it! It rained pretty much the entire time, but we were still able to enjoy many things. We loved hiking on the hotel's property down to the waterfall. It was steep and slippery in some places, but we were able to manage just fine and our... More

This place is awesome. Off the grid a bit, cultural immersion, excellent and gracious host named William who taught us so much about the jungle. It is rustic, it is communal. Don't expect luxury, expect the beauty of Costa Rica!!

We (a family of 4 with a 12yr old son and 10 yr old daughter) stayed for 3 magical nights. William was charming, friendly, polite, helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. We loved its rustic charm! The food was OUTSTANDING. We ate dinner and breakfast here every day and everyone loved it. We have 2 vegetarians in... More

My boyfriend and I love the nature. It was the perfect place for us. The view is incredible, the place is peaceful, the plants are crazy colourful and the animals are everywhere! we saw some beautiful frogs down to the river and a family of tucans, just chilling all day in front of the kitchen. Stunning. We also have been... More
