Thanks to Expedia, our trip to Costa Rica definately had all of the potential to be an absolute disaster when we showed up to our hotel in Fortuna to find that even though we had already paid, they didnt reserve a room for us! But thanks to a young gentleman who we met in the lobby at that hotel who... More

I stayed in Princess De LA Luna with my family, including two kids and our dog, Pepper. In no time they were calling Pepper "Chile" and even watched her for a day when we went into Fortuna to zipline and see the springs at Baldi. William is the bilingual manager of operations, and went WAY above and beyond, coordinating and... More

We stayed three nights there in October, during the rainy season. We were the only guests, which made that we had the place for ourselves ;) The location is great, you are literally in the middle of the jungle and you hear birds and other animals all the time. Don't go if you expect a lot of luxury. We might... More

I volunteered at Princessa de la Luna and had a really good experience. The staff members are very friendly and welcoming. The lodge is gorgeous and has access to trails, pools, and lots of fresh fruit growing. Located about a 20-minute drive away from the center of La Fortuna, it's a good balance between city and rural living.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days at Princessa de la Luna during our family trip. We were looking for an authentic jungle experience immersed in the jungle, and we we were not disappointed. We had breakfast two mornings and dinner once. The food was authentic and delicious. Even our young, pickier daughter was happy to find much of it to... More

My youngest and I were guests here on a Workaway.info to immerse youngest in more conversational Spanish. Planning was easy and communications well. La Princesa is a gem. Imagine hiking, learning about plants, swimming in a pool, eating breakfast or dinner made by staff, seeing the stars, playing in the stream and climbing down to the waterfall. Relax in the... More

Princesa de la Luna Eco Lodge is a beautiful two story spacious lodge with a huge balcony which overlooks 10 acres of rainforest. The view is spectacular. The lodge has large rooms with plenty of glass, huge beds and a very artistic feel with sculptures and rustic ornaments .The food serves were extremely generous, healthy and fresh. The staff are... I've loved our stay here. If you are addicted to AC, and don't like bugs or dogs (the dog, Chiquita is super sweet, and they do offer to put her away for people that would prefer, but we love her!)...go somewhere else. For my family and I, this place is a gem. The meals prepared here in the open air... More

A lovely setting with beautiful views, along with a kind and hardworking host equates to a wonderful stay at the Princesa de la Luna Ecolodge. Remember: this is not the Marriott! The Princesa is in the middle of a jungle/rainforest with no hard walls throughout most of the complex, so there is bound to be some dust and spiders. Don't... More
