There are not enough meaningful words to describe princesa de la luna lodge!👍 it will have a lasting impression on our hearts 💝forever. It is a beautiful paradise and tropical jungle 🌴and exceeded my expectations above and beyond what I ever imagined it would be. The staff were impeccable and did whatever made their guests happy 😊which is amazing in... More

My family arrived in San Jose on Christmas Day and were greeted at the airport by Guillermo (aka "William"). William, the caretaker of the lodge, drove all six of us to the Princesa de la Luna, located a few miles from La Fortuna. Not only did he drive us 3 hours, he made multiple stops for us to eat and... I highly recommend this out of the way eco lodge. The staff are incredibly attentive and reliable. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. William will go out of his way to take care of all of your needs. The meals are amazing. It's close to everything, but away from the busy-ness of Fortuna and Arenal. This is authentic Costa Rica.... My family of 5 including 2 small children stayed here for two nights, and loved our time here! I loved the remoteness of the eco lodge away from the bustling tourist center of La Fortuna. It's a virtual paradise for the eyes and mind, embedded deeply in the rainforest with beautiful decks, hammocks, sofas, swinging chairs looking out onto the... More

My girlfriend and I stayed in the pineapple house for 3 days and really enjoyed our trip. William and Gerard were very accommodating, and William helped us out with local tours. If you do rent a car, I would strongly recommend one with 4wd because the roads are dirt. The property is lovely and the pool was clean. If you're... More

Don't get me wrong...I can climb mountains w. the best 30 year old. 1..The location of the pool is a far hike down from the main lodge and very steep. Because of the ever present moist conditions it can be very dangerous to pay a visit to the pool as I did.slipping twice. The pool water is cold. 2.. The room... More

Hello Guy, We're glad to hear that you had a mostly positive time visiting our Eco-Lodge in the jungle. Our rustic setting provides guests with an immersive experience and many people come to experience the jungle and navigate our garden paths to find hidden areas. The pool, being one of those areas is constantly fed with fresh spring water, which... More

Our multigenerational family recently stayed at Princesa de la Luna as part of my 60th birthday family trip to Costa Rica. ( 7 adults and one 6 yr old). Generally speaking we all had very mixed feelings about our stay. We are an adventurous family, all of us have experienced travel in third world countries, and many of us have... More

Princesa de la Luna is a beautiful escape, off the beaten track, but close to attractions in La Fortuna. I only stayed for 2 nights but wish I could have stayed longer. I was picked up by a local tour company that had been recommended to me, which made it easier for me to get a feel of the area... More

Thanks to Expedia, our trip to Costa Rica definately had all of the potential to be an absolute disaster when we showed up to our hotel in Fortuna to find that even though we had already paid, they didnt reserve a room for us! But thanks to a young gentleman who we met in the lobby at that hotel who... More

I stayed in Princess De LA Luna with my family, including two kids and our dog, Pepper. In no time they were calling Pepper "Chile" and even watched her for a day when we went into Fortuna to zipline and see the springs at Baldi. William is the bilingual manager of operations, and went WAY above and beyond, coordinating and... More
