Stayed here 2 nights as part of a Tucan Travel tour of Central America. Location is very handy in the middle of town within walking distance to everything. With this convenience comes with the inconvenience of serious noise! Our tour leader had advised us to bring ear plugs and she was definitely right. It was so so so noisy! Even... More

We stayed here and it was okay. The room was pretty shabby but the place was clean. Bathroom would act up a bit and my boyfriend was actually scalded by the shower quite badly. It has a decent location but the rooms are not very soundproof. No frills hotel and to be honest there is so much to do here... More

Cabinas Oriuma was a great location at the corner of La Fortuna's central square. We stayed here for 2 nights in Dec 2014. The rooms were clean and tidy and an air conditioner was available. There was a cost to using the safe. The owner was a lovely elderly lady who let us leave our bags at reception even after... More

It's more of a North American roadside motel. Think motel 6 bit a little more bland. Good local in centre of town. Rooms are fine it dated and if u are on second floor you must carry baggage upstairs. Very small tv. Rooms are medium sized with no frills. No amenities at all. Free wifi. Extra charges for safe and... More

We really enjoyed our time in La Fortuna. The people of this town are very friendly. Hotel Oriuma is very clean. We were looking for a low cost place and paid $50 a night for a room in the back. Like others have said, the noise level can at times be a little loud, but we were usually too tired... More

Me and my wife were really surprised at the review of jeannie86. We have been staying at this place every year for 12 years now and, yes, sometimes the front desk is not attended, owners are also the regional Vets, so they sometimes have emergencies. Nonetheless, that seems like a minor inconvenience as well as the lack of English language... More

My husband and I stayed at Cabinas Oriuma from February 13 - 15, 2012 (2 nights). It is located in the heart of La Fortuna, and you can walk to the nearby restaurants, shops and church. This was great! However, the hotel itself did not feel the safest. When we arrived, we had to knock on the door to reception... More

Hello Jeannie, Our location downtown La Fortuna is privileged (“great” like you commented) because is a new building that receives constant maintenance. One of our advantages is the safety, because we are located in the safest neighborhood, in front of the bank, next to the Social Security Office, next to Hotel San Bosco, in a corner position and surrounded by... We stayed two nights in Cabinas Oriuma. Our room no. 20 on the first floor was absolutely clean, convenient room climate, spacious, good working sanitary facilities, ceiling fan, air condition. We appreciated the table and chairs on the broad balcony. The only negative point is the traffic noise due to the central position of Cabinas Oriuma. Besides of these features,... More

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We had room 18 in the back. The hotel is on one of the corners of the square (park) and across from a disco (open weekends). Being in the back, we heard no disco noise but did have traffic noise (bring earplugs). We had just come from a less-than-good hotel for... More
