We went for 3 nights during the Easter Break. We stayed at a family suite and it was just amazing! Very confortable and lots of space! 2 bedroons (one in each floor) right in front of Arenal Volcano! Beautiful! The resorts counts with 20 pools distributed all the way around and kids loved specially one with a slide (they call... More

We stayed at a nearby hotel for our honeymoon and went to the Springs Resort one night for their hot springs. It was extremely romantic and there was hardly anyone there even though we went in peak season. Pro - Amazing natural hot springs - worth every penny! Cons - Included food wasn't amazing and drinks were a little pricey.

Our family of 5 (including 3 boys ages 10, 7, 4) spent 3 nights at The Springs in the middle of our week in CR. We loved it here! Absolutely gorgeous grounds, amazing views of Arenal, super upscale suites (we stayed in the Oropendola one night and Jr Springs Suite the next two). This resort is an incredible place to... More

This luxury resort near the Arenal Volcano is a sister property of the luxury fantasy resort, The Peace Lodge near the Poas Volcano. The Springs adds some refinement compared to the Peace Lodge, but some (such as I) will prefer the more unabashed fantasy element of the Peace Lodge's accommodations. Both are special places worth the splurge.

My family just returned from Costa Rica, and I feel compelled to say a few words about The Springs. Let me preface this review by saying that we stayed at 4 different five-star hotels in Costa Rica, but The Springs was overall the best in terms of atmosphere, service, accommodations and fun. Let me also say that I have stayed... More

My wife and I highly recommend The Springs Resort and Spa. We stayed here several months ago and we are returning with our family in two weeks. The experience was amazing. The staff was extremely kind and very helpful. The room was beautiful and the property was gorgeous and well maintained. The spa was excellent and the concierge was great... More

I called the day before to tell them we would arrive around 1:30, and they were going to try to have our rooms ready. When we arrived, the rooms were not ready, so we went to lunch. Half of our 14 person group had ordered, when a young family walked in and demanded to be served and not stuck behind... More

We stayed with 3 kids in the resort for 4 nights, and loved it. The views of the volcano from almost anywhere in the hotel (when the clouds lifted in the mornings) were fantastic. We managed to time our playtime in the multitude of pools just right, and ended up with the "perdido springs" pools all to ourselves one afternoon,... More

I did not stay in the hotel, but I did visit the springs & ate at the buffet. The water was nice but as noted in some of the other reviews, the pools are plastic (fiberglass?) and felt a bit prefab. The whole place felt like it was trying too hard to be over-the-top luxurious. This may be a question... More

This resort is so breathtakingly beautiful. The hot spring pools are incredible and the views are outstanding when the weather cooperates. It does rain and the clouds are low but the resort still has a magical vibe. The road back to the resort is dirt, rocky and typical of Costa Rica but worth the short trek to this oasis.
