We just came back from a wonderful family spring break vacation to Costa Rica. It was our first visit to Costa Rica and we included The Springs Resort based on another glowing recommendation from a friend. And while we loved every place we stayed around the country (a total of 3), this is was defintiely our favorite. The place exceeded... More

It is absolutely paradise! The rooms are big and comfortable, the grounds are breathtaking and the Ticos are wonderful people. My husband and I always had the pools/hot springs all to ourselves including the ones by Club Rio. The hotel never felt crowded even with the day visitors. Yes it is not a cheap hotel, but then again it comes... More

All I can tell you is the Springs is 6 star. This resort is far superior to any Ritz, Four Seasons, Mandarin, Peninsula, Shangri La and other 5 star resorts around the world. Everything (and I do agree with others about the food - so nearly everything) about this place is simply awesome. The property is located in Arenal and... More

Our family of 14 just traveled to Costa Rica over Spring Break and we had an amazing time. It's difficult to travel with such a large party, but Costa Rica offered so many activities for everyone in our group (ages 80 to 6 yrs. old). From the nearby ziplining adventure to the onsite inner tubing/kayaking, it will be a vacation... More

We went for 3 nights during the Easter Break. We stayed at a family suite and it was just amazing! Very confortable and lots of space! 2 bedroons (one in each floor) right in front of Arenal Volcano! Beautiful! The resorts counts with 20 pools distributed all the way around and kids loved specially one with a slide (they call... More

We stayed at a nearby hotel for our honeymoon and went to the Springs Resort one night for their hot springs. It was extremely romantic and there was hardly anyone there even though we went in peak season. Pro - Amazing natural hot springs - worth every penny! Cons - Included food wasn't amazing and drinks were a little pricey.

Our family of 5 (including 3 boys ages 10, 7, 4) spent 3 nights at The Springs in the middle of our week in CR. We loved it here! Absolutely gorgeous grounds, amazing views of Arenal, super upscale suites (we stayed in the Oropendola one night and Jr Springs Suite the next two). This resort is an incredible place to... More

This luxury resort near the Arenal Volcano is a sister property of the luxury fantasy resort, The Peace Lodge near the Poas Volcano. The Springs adds some refinement compared to the Peace Lodge, but some (such as I) will prefer the more unabashed fantasy element of the Peace Lodge's accommodations. Both are special places worth the splurge.

My family just returned from Costa Rica, and I feel compelled to say a few words about The Springs. Let me preface this review by saying that we stayed at 4 different five-star hotels in Costa Rica, but The Springs was overall the best in terms of atmosphere, service, accommodations and fun. Let me also say that I have stayed... More
