The Springs is a lovely resort. The staff was great, always helpful and very polite. The hot springs are wonderful. The food was not so great but it was eatable. The weather also played tricks on us but that's what you can expect in Costa Rica. I liked the idea that there are only 44 rooms at the springs resort.... More

We had the most amazing time a The Springs in early March 2012. We were wow'd from the moment we walked in. The private tour of the property upon check in, the welcome drink we received as we came upon the bar, and the gorgeous room were all things that made us know right away that we picked a great... WOW...my husband and I just returned from our vacation in Costa Rica. The Springs Resort is the best!!!!! Absolutely Awesome Hotel!!! We loved it. All of the staff was great especially Donald Ulate at the Peridido Springs Bar! We can't wait to go back!!!!! It is absolutely a 5 star resort and was surprised at the prices considering it being... we were hesitant to not go to a beach destination, but the Springs is amazing. I also read mixed reviews but i have no clue what these people were talking about. The rooms were beautiful ( alta vista), hummingbirds all over the place everyday. The staff cant be beat, they are all great, Donald that was our bar tender by... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in March, 2012. Very nice, good food, in-pool bar, howler monkeys waking you up at 6am. Very posh.

After reading a lot of mixed reviews I was a bit nervous about booking our stay at the Springs for our Arenal part of our Costa Rica trip during Spring Break. I had read so many negatives about the food quality and prices and lack of service and the plastic prefab feel of the place. We have stayed at and... More

We didnt stay at the hotel but we visitd The Springs to go to the hot springs and have dinner as part of a packaged tour. Our resort was 5 miles or more from The Springs. I accidentally left my cell phone at the dinner table and didn't realize it until I returned to our resort. I called The Springs... More

We were given some excellent advise by a tour guide at Mamaba Lodge. If we wanted to experience the volcanic hot springs in Arenal, buy a 2 day pass for $40 and enjoy full use of the hot springs pools and hotel facilities. It was money well spent. The hotel is about 3 miles off the main road and quite... More

We stayed here for four nights with my family and had two rooms 102 and 103. The rooms were amazing... large, very comfortable beds, nicely decorated, with a glorious view of the volcano (even if it was often hidden in fog). The main building is very well done with sitting areas on most floors and glorious open views of the... More

We only went to the Springs Resort for dinner and to utilize the hot springs as part of a tour. I was not at all impressed with the place. The dinner buffet was awful. Not what you'd expect at this very expensive resort. The main building was very impressive, but felt out of place in a country that is known... More
