Hotel is close to the town centre in a quiet area. Beds are decent, rooms are clean.courtyard and pool very agreable. I guess we had quiet neighbours because we slept well. We had a nicer room on the main street at first but it was much noisier.

I arrived on a very busy weekend with a last-minute reservation for the final room available. The walls were thin & I could hear the people next door. I wasn't very happy with the odour in the room and the next morning I was moved to a larger room with a balcony for no additional charge. The breakfast was more... More

The hotel is just off the main square in the town centre. It has an uninspiring frontage but is architecturally pleasantly designed. It has a swimming pool within the main rooms courtyard, but 48 hours of hard rain scarcely made the pool an extra option. The hotel in literature is described as ' comfortable'. The rooms are clean with a... More

we stayed here because we had no other option. we moved to san bosco inn which is 1000 times better. this hotel has super thin walls (our neighbor spent all night watching tv) and is great over priced in comparison to other places you can stay. the free breakfast was literally 1 scrambled egg. it was laughable. dont stay here.

The locations of the hotel is perfect not a lot of noise but a 2 min walk to the center, probably also the reason why you can't by a beer or bottle of water?? The worst part is the breakfast I wouldn't even serve that to my dog that's an embarrassment. I saw someone mentioned the staff that they where... More

decent, clean, average rooms, hot water, localised wifi. "Bar" wasn't open and its lighting, with eco LED bulbs, was so dim as to make reading impossible. The pool was ok but the iguanas used to swim in it too which made me a bit queasy. Staff keen to help but English not great. We went out for a meal and... More

The hotel is fine. The rooms are fine: clean with working air conditioning. The pool is fine: clean and of a reasonable size. The staff is fine: they speak English and answer any questions as best they can. But none of it is more than just fine. The location is very good - on a quiet side street a few... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and the room was clean and well maintained with a TV with lots of channels. The bathroom had a shower and good supply of hot water. As others have said there are no chairs or flat surfaces but this has been the same in all hotels in CR so far. It is centrally placed... More

OK, I realize that we didn't sign up for 5-star tour of Costa Rica. And I am now used to throwing used toilet paper in the trash instead of the toilet, which we didn't know before checking into the Arenal Rabfer. (I thought it was just this hotel's poor infrastructure since it was our first hotel stay in Costa Rica...)... More

The hotel room is basic but clean. The exterior has a nice west coast architecture with costa rican tiling throughout. I never used the pool but the other kids who checked into the hotel seemed to like it. The location is great as it is just off of the main strip (a bit more quieter) and close to the national...
