We have stayed at many B&Bs and picked this place due to the reviews so we were SHOCKED once we saw the room. The bedding was very low quality, the mattress bumpy and old and NO mattress pad, you could see the mattress design through the cheap sheet and the pillows were tiny. The bathtowel was so small, it didnt... More

This was my 2nd stay at Los Guayabos and it was as I remembered it from 2006- very clean, has a great view, and the owners are uber friendly. The breakfast is made to order, the setting is tranquil (a few loud trucks on the roadway but not bad), and it is a bargain.

This was a great place for us to stay. It was clean, comfortable, and had a great breakfast included. The proprietor was very helpful when giving directions to local attractions. We highly recommend this place to anyone that needs a comfortable place to lay their head at night. The owner even let us use her personal computer to quickly check... More

We stayed in February and March with two different sets of friends, and their reactions were the same = glorious! The owner greeted me the second time as if we were old friends and the service and recommendations she gave were fantastic. We could hear Arenal rumble in Feb.. and in March we went around the side to watch the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during the busy Easter week holidays. I was grateful that these cabins were out of town, & somewhat removed from town life. You'd have to have a car, but if you do, this is a great, inexpensive and quiet stay. Fantastic view of Mt. Arenal every day, great bird sounds at night, the hostess/owner... More

Very clean B&B situated with perfect view to Arenal. We were fortunate to have clear days for our stay. The food was excellent, the rooms clean and large, as was the bathroom. You need a car to stay here, it is a ways out of town (which makes it nice and quiet and private). Karen has wonderful suggestions for dinner,... More

This place was as expensive as other places but included breakfast. We wanted a no-frills place to stay and got it. Breakfast was good, and this palce is located close to several hot springs, Arenal park and La Fortuna. I think it's family-owned and run. No in-room safe.

Clean and friendly with helpful staff. Its a small place that is run by a friendly Tico family. The Cabinas are large and the showers huge. The water is hot and breakfasts are good. They are served in a covered patio area with a view of the Volcano. Our cabina supposedly had a volcano view but unfortunately it was obscured... More

We stayed there for 3 nights to see the Volcano Arenal and the waterfalls. It was a perfect stay. The rooms are clean and simple, the price is ok for the location. We had a perfect view on the Volcano. If the sky is clear you can see the lava at night. You don`t see it in La Fortuna, you... More
