What a fantastic and welcoming place to stay near Arenal. Off of the main road but close enough to everything, this place was amazing. The staff was so friendly and served a delicious breakfast every morning. The rooms were extremely clean and the grounds were immaculate. Definitely would come back to this place again.

We chose this place due to it's great reviews and were not disappointed! The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the housekeepers were excellent and the reception staff helped us arrange local trips and tours. The breakfast was lovely. Had a wonderful stay. The rooms were small yet quaint with a wonderful view of the volcano. Very close to La fortuna and other major attractions. Our host was gracious and very accommodating. The breakfasts were delightful.

We stayed 3 nights this Febuary at Hotel Rancho Cerro Azul. Tatiana was so helpful when we booked and when we arrived giving us local advice and knowledge; really seful when the lake route was shut and we needed to drive the long way to Monteverde. The cabins are simple, super clean and perfect for a few days rest. It's... More

Stayed 3 nights in this hugely impressive lodge . It is situated on a quiet road about 1 mile from town with about 8 cabins set alongside a river within attractive well maintained grounds The cabins are very well equipped with excellent beds and good showers . The owners provide a great breakfast across the road in another building .... More

These cabins were a lovely surprise. We were expecting them to be rustic but they were clean and spacious! Loved having the end table and lamp and plenty of shelves/storage. I could spend hours on the back deck. The grounds are incredibly maintained. The family that runs it are friendly and helpful. I could not believe I did not see... More

This was the first place we stayed when we arrived in Costa Rica. It is a small, locally run place with about 5 simple one-room cabinas. Each cabina has 2 beds, a bathroom with standup shower, mini fridge, wifi, front and back porches with chairs and tables and a hammock. We were traveling with another couple and it was the... More

My husband and I stayed here for two days on our honeymoon. The cabins are very quaint and cute. The porch is great for relaxing, especially the hammock. The rooms are quite simple, nothing extravagant but it meets your needs. What really impressed me about this hotel was the breakfast. The breakfast does not come with the hotel fee but... More

I stayed here as a single parent with my 3 children. It was perfect...clean, safe, welcoming and well located. We didn't have a car but it was easy to get into town - just a $3 taxi ride. Alvarro and his wife were very welcoming and Tatiana was wonderful, friendly and helpful with good suggestions of things to do. The... More
