This place was fabulous! The family who runs it is so kind, and helpful, the rooms have everything you need, including a safe and fridge. Sitting in the hammock at night listening to the sounds of nature around us was perfect! We stayed three nights and wished it could have been longer!

The location of this hotel is great, tucked slightly away from the downtown area with a great view of the volcano. They offered us several nice tours for a great price, all with a cash discount of 5%. The family running the hotel is very friendly, fun to support a local establishment. The cabins were lacking though, cleanliness was not... More

My sister and I shared a wonderful little cabin at the end of a group of cabins. It had a wonderful back balcony for morning coffee and birdwatching. Nice path to river in back. Breakfast at Alvaro's house was enough to keep us going all day. The staff is kind and helpful with planning for visiting all of the amazing... More

I stayed here with my husband and 18-year old daughter June 14-17, and we were really happy with the accommodations. This place is a bargain at $84/night. The location was minutes from town (we had rented a car), and the delicious breakfast was right across the street in the owner's home. The property is gorgeous, and the river behind the... More

I'm so glad that I booked this property after reading the reviews. Our family of four (including two adult children) recently spent two memorable nights here, and agreed that we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Both of our cabins were very clean, charming, and spacious (including the bathroom). Each cabin has a front and back porch (with a... More

This hotel will always be very near and dear to my heart. The astounding service, beautiful location, amazing atmosphere and delightful stay made this my most memorable vacation to date and I will never forget this incredible experience. Everything from the exotic gardens, to the bountiful species of little animals and the different sounds of nature that filled the room... More

Absolutely immaculate and adorable cabins fully operated by a lovely Costa Rica family. Roy is an amazing host and great ambassador to his beautiful country. We wanted a "non-resort", personal accommodation and that is exactly what we received. The cabins were plenty of room for two adults and two teenagers. The town of La Fortuna is about a mile away... Very happy that we got to stay here. 3 adults and 1 toddler fit comfortably. Individual cabin has a balcony and offers privacy. Breakfast was delicious. Very nice family who runs the business. Few lessons we learned: 1. We didn't do any activity tours (which provide hotel pick up and drop off) and didn't have a rental car so the... More

We were met by Roy after a long drive from Puerto Viejo who warmly greeted us and showed us to our lovely cabin with balcony overlooking a green expanse leading to a river. Sitting on the porch you are entertained watching hummingbirds duck and weave from flower to flower. This is a family owned business who have presented lovely comfortable... More

Loved every night there...everything was made of real wood and the portico on both the back and front enabled you to enjoy the nature around you. Plenty of birds hanging around at dawn, and frogs at night if you have a keen eye. Also near the Rainforest Chocolate Tour that is a must (try to get Erica as she is... More
