My husband & I stayed here on our last night in Costa Rica. I looked at there website before I booked the room and I feel like they falsely represented the hotel. We planned to sit by the pool have a drink at the bar and eat at the restaurant. But none of that was possible because the pool was... More

The host/owner was very accommodating. He got us a room very quickly. We had everything we needed right when we asked for it. The courtyard area is beautiful! We were the only guests at the hotel that night as it was 2 days before Easter. We ate a lovely and delicious dinner at the hotel and had a wonderful long... More

It was the character in the picture that caught my eye, as well as the reasonable rates. After three nights of staying here, I can easily recommend this place as a landing or departing spot for those travelling to Costa Rica. Henry is among the best hosts and gave me a very warm welcome. As a hotelier of my own... More

The atmosphere and setting of this hotel is truly remarkable. The property is very conveniently located near the airport, the rooms are exceptionally clean and uniquely designed in a very special way. The proprietor of the property, Henry, is genuinely kind and customer service oriented and treats every guest like family. The hotel has an adjacent restaurant with an elegant... More

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere. We were staying at a hotel across the street and thought this place looked interesting. We walked over, and what a great find! Excellent personalized service, interesting artwork and woodwork. Persian theme was quite intriguing. So different and unique. Don't miss this. We'll be back for sure!

My husband and I arrived at San Jose airport late in the evening after missing a connecting flight due to weather. The tourist booth directed us to Casa Antigua who had only one room left. We really did feel like we got the proverbial 'last room in the Inn'. We are not seasoned travelers and were feeling weary and a... More

I have stayed in the hotel for a night on several occasions with different people from different parts of the world and thanks to Henry and Debbie as hosts and owners has been a great experience , not to mention Pishou , the persian cat and Gorkie , the Huskie dog as companions, the talking parrots in the garden and... Very convenient location, under most flight paths and right down the busy road from just about everything, including the rental car agencies. Walking distance to food, basic and cheap. Initially quoted price reasonable, actual price demanded, too high. Owner Henry, is justifiably proud of his creation of a beautiful, peaceful retreat. And he reminds you of it rather interminably. We were not lucky enough to stay at the hotel, but we had an amazing dinner there, before we went to the airport for our flight. A friend suggested and it was a GREAT idea to stop there for a delicious fresh meal before our trip. The owner and his staff are very friendly and treated us very well.
