My wife and I celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary in Costa Rica and Xandari was our first hotel. Our daughter came with us. The welcome we received went far beyond our expectations. We cannot thank the staff and management enough for making our stay an unforgettable one. Not only is this a friendly hotel but it is in a beautiful... More

Stayed at this hotel for my husband's birthday. Loved the overall experience. Art Deco type of hotel. Rooms are huge, all with a view of central valley. Property has 5 waterfalls- great for hiking. Food is organic, spa type- very good. Gardens are very pretty, worth the time walking the trails. Overall very pleasant experience.

Stayed one night before flying home. The grounds surrounding the hotel are exceptional. Flowers in bloom everywhere you turn. Plenty of birds too and a few mammals. The room was clean, quiet and spacious with an amazing view. The bathroom had a very good shower. Didn't have an opportunity to use the pools or spa. Location is close to the... More

Xandari is the perfect beginning or end to trip to Costa Rica. We love the beautiful grounds and hiking to waterfalls. The restaurant was excellent. The staff was very helpful and we received a complimentary room upgrade when we arrived which was a nice surprise. Everything about our stay was relaxing.

We started and finished our 2 week holiday in Costa Rica at the Xandari. The rooms have great views over San Jose and it is only 20 minutes from the airport. The rooms are a little dated but are clean, large and colourful. Good showers. Service and staff excellent and the breakfast ample and good quality. Very well sited for... More

We finished our two weeks in Costa Rica at Xandari, and it was a great place to relax after a very active time spent at Rafiki Lodge and Beach Camp. Xandari provides luxurious accomodation - big, stylish room with fridge, coffee maker, etc - with stunning views; excellent, very friendly, service and good food. There are three pools and some... We began our honeymoon here and were looking for a few nights of relaxation and got it. The room was enormous with a fantastic view. The room is basic in that there isn't a TV but you don't need that when you're here. The grounds are absolutely pristine and we really enjoyed the waterfall walks. The swimming pools were all... I stayed at Xandari with my boyfriend before flying out of San Jose early the following morning. The only regret, I have is not having enough time to truly take in everything that the resort has to offer in including the spa and organic gardens on site. The view of the mountains and valley was absolutely breathtaking and tranquil. It... More

Beautiful rooms with lots of artistic touches. Breakfast had quite a few touches, but several of the breads seemed stale. Enjoyed a massage at the spa--the price was fairly steep. Dinner was quite good. The grounds are beautiful.
