We stayed at Tacacori for two nights. It is a very nice, luxurious place with a beautiful garden - the nicest garden we saw during a one-month holiday staying at 16 different lodges. There are only 4 (or 5?) houses (casita's), so it is a quite small B&B. With a lot of privacy, as you have your own house. Nicely... More

My family and I stayed at Tacacori EcoLodge in March! It was our first stop adn last one due to its close location to the airport. Patrick kindly picked us up from the airport and drove us to the lodge. We didn't know what to expect. When the gate opened it was like a private rainforest in a fairytale. Their... More

We stayed here to break up our drive between coasts. The garden was beautiful, breakfast was good, and the owners were very nice and hospitable. The only complaint I had was that there were A LOT of ants in our room. We were used to some bugs and expected some anywhere in Costa Rica, but nowhere else did we have... More

My family stayed here 2 nights. I chose it based on the great reviews on trip advisor. It very much lived up to expectations and more. It was our first 2 nights in Costa Rica. We were in awe of the beauty of the gardens. Its amazing how you enter through their gate from a very busy town and street,... More

We flew into San Jose and needed a place to stay one night before driving to Arenal. This is a hidden-gem. The location is close to the airport but the setting makes you feel like you're in another world. It was just what we needed after our early morning flight. This hotel is within walking distance to Xandria so we... More

I'd have given a 3.5 rating if it was possible, but I didn't feel right giving a 3. We stayed at Tacacori the last 2 nights of our Costa Rica trip. It's a very beautiful place with simple, comfortable accommodations. The proprietors are nice folks and are happy to provide information, advice and directions regarding nearby attractions and points of... More

I booked their "Hello Goodbye" deal. (2 nights upon arrival and 1 night before departure from SJO.) The owners were actually away when I stayed. I booked at the last minute and they accommodated. I arrived hours late due to a delayed flight and they accommodated me at 10:30PM. I was up at dawn each morning and fresh coffee and... More

Our adventures on this trip were in the Monteverde area, but for our return home we didn't want the stress of the long drive directly from there to SJO airport. Tacacori EcoLodge was the perfect spot to spend our last night in Costa Rica: close to the airport, which allowed us a leisurely morning, while preserving the feeling of being... More

Tacacori was our last stop before heading home. The grounds were beautiful, the hosts were gracious, and the lodge dogs were adorable. The ecolodge is a short ride away from the airport and we had a delicious breakfast prepared for is before we had to leave. I would definitely stay at this place again and I recommend it to other... This was our final stop on our honeymoon and it was the perfect joice for us. The bungalow was new and big and in a wonderfully made garden. Also the location was what we expected, away from the trouble. That there is no restaurant did not bother us, since we prefered to take the car to try some special places... More
