We arrived at 1 am to a friendly greeting and lovely accommodations. Tacacori is on a sloping hillside overlooking a valley. But all you can really see is the beauty of the lush gardens full of flowers, fruits and many different birds. Each room is a separate casita, with modern plumbing fixtures and led lighting. Beds are comfortable and everything... More

We stayed at the Tacacori Eco Lodge for two nights in January and one night in February at the end with their hello-goodbye package. We also arranged our car hire through them, and transport to the Lodge from the airport. All the arrangements worked very smoothly. The car, from Thrifty, was delivered to the Lodge shortly after we had settled... More

Tacacori offers a beautiful place to stay before flying out of SJO or after flying in late. The owners are extremely helpful, and the grounds are meticulously kept up. Breakfast is typical Costa Rican fare--gallo pinto, toast with fresh fruit spreads, fresh juice, coffee and tea--plus whatever else is special that day. The casitas are eco-friendly and have wonderful bathrooms,... More

Based on Tripadvisor comments we chose Tacacori lodge to start and end our Costa Ric journey. We arrived on the airport at 19:30 so arranging a car then would be too cumbersome (especially with 2 kids). Instead we were picked up by Patrick and after a 20 minute drive we arrived at Tacacori lodge. We had a few beers, went... More

We spend the night at Tacacori Lodge before to flight out the country. It is conveniently located 30 minutes away from San José Airport on top of a hill in the country. There are 4 bungalows spread around a gigantic tropical garden. The host, Nadine and Patrick, are very attentive to their guests needs and very chatty about Costa Rica... More

We stayed at Tacacori for two nights. We were pleased with the location and proximity to Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfalls. It was our stop between Arenal and Drake Bay. You definitely need a car if you want to take advantage of your stay here. We stayed in Casa Bambu and it was just as pictured. The grounds are quite... More

My Daughter and I spent our last night in Costa Rica at Tacacori EcoLodge. We had stayed at two other hotels during our stay within the Central Highlands of CR. My Daughter said it was her favorite hotel of the three. The owners are lovely people, the place is wonderful, peaceful, tropical foliage, plenty of birds. We actually saw quite... More

We stayed one night at the start and end of our trip - it is a 15 min drive from the airport but still allows you to feel immersed in the jungle. I know it is an ecolodge, and bugs are to be expected. The first night the room had no bugs, but when we returned for the second night,... More
