We needed a place to sleep/stay for literally 7 hours. Arrived at the airport after midnight, and sure enough, they were ready to receive us upon arrival (sigh of relief). It was clean enough. Breakfast was good. A piece of the roof, however, right above our heads was blowing and banging in the wind of the storm early in the... More

It was $40 a night for a double with a private bath, so we didn't expect much. It was clean & comfortable, & most of the time the fan was adequate, in spite of the heat & humidity. Most of the people (notably the owners) were very friendly & helpful. We also felt safe here.

I stayed here for one night with my boyfriend in order to be close to the airport. Taxi only cost us 6 bucks, and was a short drive away! Very convenient location if your looking for a short stay. Breakfast was delcious and made on the spot. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms however were very hot, the fan... More

we stayed here for three nights and it was definetly worth the price! the people were really friendly even though they barely spoke english. It was very loud in the mornings because during that time costa rica was playing in the world cup so you could imagine what was going on right outside :)! Beds were kind of hard and... More

We booked this hotel for one night as we had an early flight the next morning. Staff was unbelievable friendly and very helpful!! The rooms are nice and clean, 24 hour reception. Absolutely worth the money for what you get, I think. Distance to Airport; 5 minutes by Taxi.

A well situated hotel close to the airport simple with everything we needed and calm. Very helpful receptionist. We recommend this hotel for a short pre-flight stop-over. Many restaurants and bars around.

The staff is very friendly and professional. The room with bathroom was easy, small, but tidy and clean, breakfast included. The price is absolutely fair. I would definitely stay again in this hotel for a future 1night stay.

Cala Inn is a small hostel in Alajuela, only few min by car from the San Jose Airport. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was basic but clean and with own bathroom. Fast, free Wifi access was ofered. The breakfast was also included in our rate but we didn't have time to eat because of the early morning... More

We were very surprised by a small size of the "queen room", which looked much bigger on the pictures. The shower looked a bit dangerous with the electricity heeting installed directly where the water comes out. The mirrow in the bathroom was attached on the level of our belly/chest, so we had to bend to be able to see our... More

I ended up staying this hotel after looking for hostel that would offer inclusive early morning transportation. I chose a dorm room, at $17 and with an inclusive taxi ride to the airport the next day. At first, I was surprised by the outside appearance of the hotel as it looks nothing like the photos! However, it was easy to... More
