This hostel offers a friendly atmosphere by the personal approach of the owners. Several rooms which obviously are part of one household. The room we slept in was very small but looked clean and nice. We do know that there were other rooms available that were more spacy. The hostess offered us after 1 night to switch to the other... more

Alonso, the owner, is a beautiful person. He goes out of his way to do ANYTHING to make your stay better. He will take you to dinner, pick you up, wake up at 4 am to send you off.... it goes on and on. Go to any Hostel website to see people saying the same thing I am. Alajuela is... more

Don't expect anything fancy, the rooms are a bit small and have 2 single bunk beds. For budget or backpackers this is the ideal place as the owner is extremely helpful and friendly and the free airport transfer, free internet, and breakfast are all a definite plus. The upgraded room with private bath is much nicer than the other rooms... more
