We stayed at Alegria coming and going from Alejuela. We love George! What an amazing guy and perfect place to start our vacation! He made us feel right at home! Not only did he cook us a wonderful breakfast, but he loaned us a phone and ice chest. Beds were the best we had the entire trip and his banana... More

We have spent our last night in Costa Rica in George's beautiful B&B and were amazed by this man's hospitality. We wish we would have stayed longer to explore more of the area (Irazu or Poas) and will definitely include this if we come back to CR some day. Honestly and best and cleanest shower we had during our 17-day... More

Lovely, quiet, immaculately clean. My daughter and I were treated like princesses. Jorge met us at the airport and drove us to the Alegria (about 10 minutes away). Hot water, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast.. Can't wait to come back. Patricia and Phoebe Columbus, OH

My mom and I stayed with George to and from our visits to our favorite beach location. This is my second stay with George, and, again, I can only say good things. He was more than generous in picking us up from the airport (and our plane was on-time, thus not having to wait very long for very-prompt George to... More

So many excellent reviews for Alegria, and I'm sorry I can't do the same, as George is a very nice man. Our problems began when George was 15 minutes late in picking us up from the airport. Again, very kind of him to offer this service, but I was sweating bullets from anxiety when he wasn't there when he said... More

We have been spending very little time in this b&b as we arrived late and we had an early flight the following morning. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed it and felt at home. George is very nice and he let you to use his place as you wish, so enjoyed the leaving room to write our last post cards. Room and... More

My husband and I visited Costa Rica for our honeymoon. Our plane got in pretty late so George, the owner picked us up from the airport to bring us to his B&B. Such a pleasant way to start our vacation! He was extremely kind. Even offered us a drink when we got there. The room was comfortable and his house... More

My husband and I recently took a trip to Costa Rica for our nieces womens World Cup games. We crossed paths with a wonderful man, George. We never experienced a bed-and-breakfast before. George has set the bar! I truly felt like I was home or staying with a family member. We were excited to see George every morning before starting... More

What can I say? George is numero uno! We first met him 5 years ago and he made sure he was our first contact again. He met us at the airport on arrival, took us with him on a trip to the grocery store, and set up a car rental for the following morning. These acts of kindness are over... More
