I have to invite you to this place, It is located in a great place sorrounded by a green zone and full of paz.. close to Alajuela City, Poas Volcano, waterfalls, etc. I am very thankful, the service was great. And the price? waaooo so cheap! If you go to Costa Rica, you should have a night here.

After reading the previous reviews, we decided to have a look at this hotel, as most reviews were positive. The reviews about bad hygiene seemed older, so maybe things had changed or maybe the reviewers were there on a bad day... At first sight, the room seemed nice enough. So we dropped our bags and returned in the evening. When... More

we choose Villa Pacande as it is absolutly quiet, set in a beautiful garden in a peaceful village though close enough to the airport which makes it a perfect place for arriving/departure. The owners will do anything to make you feel comfortable and will anser all your questions. Breakfast is delicious and plenty and wonderfully set on the terrasse overlooking... More

This property is beautiful. the staff are friendly and helpful The room is plain and you can hear the entire city as well as every guest that checks in throughout the night. They serve a continental breakfast with fruit coffee and toasties if you ask. Decent for the money, if you bring some ready to eat food or drive a... More

Our room was large, very clean & comfortable, bathroom more than sufficient, clean, hot water & all. The ownners went out of their way to assist in any possible way.... More

The owners have 2 places in Alajuela, I stayed in the one which is outside Alajuela a bit up in the mountains. Rooms are totally OK and aligned to the overall price tag. The owners are nice and helpful. Breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace. A rental car might be a good idea since there is not really anything... More

We made a reservation at Cortez Azul. After traveling for a long time we were exhausted and we were told we would be moved to Villa Pacande because the room we had reserved wouldn't be available till the next day. Since we had no choice, we agreed. The location is away from the city, impossible to get to or leave... More

We stay one night in Hotel Cortez Azul. As the fridge did look terrible and the door did not lock, the spanish owner promised us his second hotel Villa Pacande. Cortez Azul was also very noisy as of 5 am. The owner promised us free transportation from Villa Pacande to Alajuela whenever we want. As we came to his bar... More

I stayed with a group of 9 people. We had 3 to the room. The beds are not comfortable but the room was ok. I did see that there are two rooms that are quite nice - wood floors and patio in the back. Like many places in Costa Rica, no a/c and fans have to be requested. They were... More
