Drove 9 hours from TX & since we were making good time, skipped the pleasant stay we'd had @ Vicksburg Fairfield Inn & made reservation while on the road for Tuscaloosa. Amanda gave excellent directions to "I can see it, but I can't get there" location! Sat down on the bed to remove my shoes & nearly fell off, the... more

My favorite hotel was sold out so I tried this one as it is next door. I didn't realize that Fairfield Inn is a Marriott hotel. Let me tell you that everything was perfect especially the bed! The hotel wins and saved me alot of money. Service great, front desk great and General Manager was so nice, I couldn't believe... more

I try to stay here or at the Courtyard next door because they are near several restaurants and the freway. It's a really nice and cozy place. The beds are comfy, the room is big enough, and it's easy to get to. As I said, great place. more

This older hotel is still clean and in good taste. The facility is maintained and kept very well. It's a step into the 1990's but for the money, it's a value. Keep expectations low, it's not a Hampton Inn. No dining without driving, and not a large selection at this exit of the interstate. It's convenient to downtown Tuscaloosa and... more

I don't know if this is a new hotel or just very very well kept. We were extremely please with this hotel and location. Nice spacious room and really nice breakfast area with a large selection of hot and cold items to choose from. We were very impressed. It's parking lot is adjacent to other hotel properties, they are all... more

Had the opportunity to stay in Tuscaloosa for the night (Feb, 2007), on the way down to Baton Rouge and chose the Fairfield by Marriott ( on Courtyard Drive) from several hotels in the area. The hotel is a bit difficult to find off an access road, behind some other businesses & restaurants especially at night. Typical Fairfield. We had... more

We ended up at this hotel due to the AC going out at our apartment. Our complex offered to reimburse us for a room, so we chose the Fairfield Inn because it was (a) close and (b) had a room available. There was a conference of some sort going on so several of the hotels in the area were booked.... more

The hotel rooms are clean and seem to be new. The wireless access is decent (500k download with 1.3meg upload - really!). I told them I wanted a room on the backside of the hotel (away from the interstate). Even on the backside, you can faintly hear the traffic, but it is not noticeable if the heater/AC fan is running. more
