We stayed at LaQuinta in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Oct 19, 2014. We noticed upon arrival that it was in a very bad part of town, but we arrived late at night so we kept our reservation and checked in. Bad mistake!! The rear window of our SUV was smashed in and valuables stolen. That was very disappointing and a tremendous... More

The proximity to the Interstate makes for a lot of noise. I felt like I was sleeping on the the edge of a runway. I should put "sleep" in quotation marks because I didn't get any. Moreover, I had a coupon and was told, "We don't have any coupon rooms left". This was despite the fact the hotel was less... More

Beds were ok, room was uninviting and furniture was placed in strange manner. This did not appear as the La Quinta I am used to. It looked like a cheap hotel with a bad renovation. Would never stay here again.

The La Quinta in Tuscaloosa is literally on the edge of the Interstate 20/59. The noise is noticeable on the Interstate side of the building. Those rooms are designated by even numbers; so if you want a more quiet experience, make sure you stay in an odd-numbered room. The breakfast offering was almost totally carbohydrates. There were 2 choices of... More

In our cross country trip, we ended up making a reservation here based upon time to take a break from driving and history of consistent good quality at this chain. I need to be clear that the person at the desk was helpful as we searched for a decent room. Beyond that, I was personally concerned about our safety and... More

We liked everything about this hotel except the difficult entrance. There was a nice sign at the main road, but the side road you were supposed to take, or maybe it was the driveway, was in need of repair, and didn't look like it could possibly be the correct way in. We took it, however, and then could not see... More

The first thing we noticed was, the area. This area is very lively and rough looking. I will not stay here at this La Quinta again. We are ELITE Members of the La Quinta chain of hotels and this hotel and its location are not up the the standards of most La Quinta hotels. We got to our room#204. It... More

We stayed here one night on a cross country trip. I should have researched it better. The immediate area is dark, desolate, and scary. I literally slept with one eye open and kept peeking outside to check on my car. Lots of highway noise and people coming and going in the parking lot all night long. I woke up about... More

Pay the additional $20/night to stay somewhere else. The staff was pleasant but it's in a terrible location and the properly is not properly maintained. We did not feel safe there at all. Pick anything north of the freeway, you will be much happier.

The hotel itself needs upgrades by installing microwave oven and refrigerator at least for the elite guest. It would be nice if someone was to let me know what is being done to correct these issues. it would be nice if the place had a better breakfast area and better assortment of breakfast items. Spread people through out the whole... More
