This is one of the original La Quinta hotels, so therefore did not have the large lobby or the inside entries that you get at the newer ones. It was average -- but a great value. I was just passing thru so all I needed was a clean, quite room. I got both here plus a nice free breakfast. The... More

Called ahead & booked six rooms. Arrived to be checked in and be told "let me check your rooms before you can go in". Then there were what appeared to be drug transactions & prostitution going on! Not for us, checked out and went down the road. The staff were rude. I believe you could rent the room by the... More

Saw other reviews about the traffic, if you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend a room on the highway side. Didn't bother me or my husband at all. Room could have been aired out a little more but we had air freshener. Variety of food is not great but the statement you get what you pay for is certainly true... More

I've stayed at LaQuinta in Tuscaloosa and Mobile. Both locations had poor service and conditions for the rate charged. The room smelled like mildew. The shower was stained. We had no towels or soap. No phone to call the front desk to ask for towels and soap. The walls were cracked and stained. The mattress was uncomfortable. I've had better... More

Hotel met all of our needs. Room was clean and bed comfortable. We were traveling with a dog and appreciate La Quinta's pet friendly policy. Location is not pretty, but close to restaurants and University of Alabama.

We have stayed at this Tuscaloosa La Quinta hotel on our way to and from Dallas Tx. to Kiawah Island SC. For over 8 years. Just a easy on and off Interstate 20. We love the fact they allow Dogs Each stay has always been great! Just what we want to pay.

We stayed at LaQuinta in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Oct 19, 2014. We noticed upon arrival that it was in a very bad part of town, but we arrived late at night so we kept our reservation and checked in. Bad mistake!! The rear window of our SUV was smashed in and valuables stolen. That was very disappointing and a tremendous... More

The proximity to the Interstate makes for a lot of noise. I felt like I was sleeping on the the edge of a runway. I should put "sleep" in quotation marks because I didn't get any. Moreover, I had a coupon and was told, "We don't have any coupon rooms left". This was despite the fact the hotel was less... More

Beds were ok, room was uninviting and furniture was placed in strange manner. This did not appear as the La Quinta I am used to. It looked like a cheap hotel with a bad renovation. Would never stay here again.

The La Quinta in Tuscaloosa is literally on the edge of the Interstate 20/59. The noise is noticeable on the Interstate side of the building. Those rooms are designated by even numbers; so if you want a more quiet experience, make sure you stay in an odd-numbered room. The breakfast offering was almost totally carbohydrates. There were 2 choices of... More
