Doublehead is located in a beautiful area. I love the trees, river view and access. The units are on flat lots and the area is generally quiet, unless you are near the beach. Our unit was very dated. The couch and chairs were very uncomfortable. The pool and tennis courts were fine . Getting to boat, fish and jet ski... More

Doublehead is located in a beautiful area on the Tennessee River. The cabins are all separate, each with their own dock/fishing pier. The area is quiet. The cabin we stayed in was in need of updates and a good cleaning. The downstairs bathroom sink and tub drained extremely slowly. The kitchen had ants - which may have been due to... More

This is a beautiful location and works great for company meetings. Some cabins have been updated while others have not. The lodge is a great space but needs a little TLC. We had the one meeting space that had yet to be updated which had extremely outdated, peeling wallpaper, poor lighting and pieces in the room that seemed to be... More

My small family spent three nights in one of the cabins over the holiday. The cabins are spacious and each one features a nice view of the water. We had a great time watching the many varieties of water fowl and the turtles. The resort is well maintained. We did not try any of the activities since most were closed... More

We stayed at Doublehead Resort for a mini family reunion and had a great time. The cottage was large but furnishings were a little uncomfortable-the beds were supposed to look rustic but had unfinished edges that gave several people splinters. The beach was fun but it was nasty with limbs and such, seems like someone could have cleared it off... More

Our group arrived, and the scenery was great. Everything was kept up very well. Our company had several cabins rented. We also used the conference center, and lodge. The staff met all of our request, and were polite. The cabins were clean, and peaceful. The view looking on the lake was very nice also. I will have to say everything... More

We held our Fall Women's Retreat here at DoubleHead Resort and it was excellent. This was a great experience. The cabins and grounds were neat and clean. The staff was extremely professional and nice. There was so much to do for every age group. We are definitely looking forward to planning future retreats at this site. I would recommend this... More

This place has really declined. Freinds recommended DH to us. We stayed there over the labor day holiday. The refridgerator didn't work and the dryer didn't work right from the start. They advertised a game room for the kids and it was nothing but an empty room with a couple of pool tables and air hockey table with no cues,... More

Unfortunately, Doublehead has gone down hill. The rental cabin we stayed in is way overpriced for what it is. Whoever said that it is more like a state park than a resort was right on. After a long-standing tradition, we plan to move elsewhere. We woke up one morning to find a dead mouse in the sink. That did us... More

Cabins were awesome. The rustic look and the feeling of being in the great outdoors with the convenience of being so close to Huntsville. Even though we felt like we were out in the wilderness, the cabins were just as clean as home. The grounds were kept manicured. Horseback riding was a blast and the kids enjoyed themselves more than... More
