I have stayed at this location once before, about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Looking for consistency as indicator of level of service and can say without hesitation it was clean, fresh, quiet, price competitive. Every staff member went beyond the call of duty. I requested a last minute check out extension and was acknowledged without questions. The entire staff was... More

I was supposed to stay for one night at this Hotel. Got there at 6 am the day of checkout, as I couldn't make it night before. Wanted atleast few hours of rest as I had a long day planned. But this hotel charged me full with no show and gave my room to some one else. They were sold... More

I am sorry you wasn't able to stay at the hotel. Things to remember when you book thru a 3 party web site they do not put your phone number down. After 1am it starts a new day. We would love for you to come back and give us a try. More

This visit was for several friends from Chicago attending a former co-worker birthday/retirement event. The hotel is in a at the end of the shopping area. The hotel room was very clean and the bed very comfy. Not sure if it is the sewer but once outside of the room there is a horrible odor in the hallways, stairwell and... More

Pros....staff was very friendly and quick, room was clean, microwave/fridge always a plus, convenient and easy to find, restaurants nearby, showerhead adjustable, flatter pillows perfect for more petite people, bed comfy as always. Cons...room quality not quite the same as other Hamptons, hairdryer small (this is same for all Hamptons), floor maybe not as clean as some. Will stay here... More

This hotel is in a convenient location -- staff were friendly and helpful, especially with restaurant recommendations, etc. Our room was clean, with nice fridge, etc. This would definitely be my first choice in Selma.

Third floor room was nice and the morning breakfast was great including the wonderful service from Tyquajah. We had some temporary problems with the Dish TV during the NCAA game but the front desk contacted the provider and got it working. Hats off to a great staff,

I took a bicycle trip from Birmingham, AL to Bay Minette, 205 miles in 3 days. Stayed in Selma, Monroeville and Bay Minette. The Hampton was twice the price of my other stops but it was very nice. There's a huge lobby which embraces the morning breakfast area. My room was squeaky clean and quiet. Those are the first two... More

Friendly service from all staff. Clean hotel, would recommend if staying in Selma. Easy access of the main highway. The rooms were very well maintained. Asked for late check and it was granted with no charge up until 1:00pm.

The only restaurants in the area were fast food. Another was listed in the book for visitors in the room but someone had written in the book to stay away from this restaurant. The hotel was not in the best area of town based on reading the police reports in the Selma newspaper.

The hotel is old and needs to be renovated. The rooms, we had 3, all had a horrible chemical odor which was not corrected during our stay. Opt for the Holiday Inn Express instead! It is adjacent to the Hampton Inn and looks new and fresh.

Dear 358jacqueliner: I can't begin to express how sorry we are for the chemical odor in the hotel. We are in the process of making improvements to our hotel beginning in our guest rooms and we did not anticipate what type of smell the chemical would have. The last thing we want is for it to effect your stay the... More
