Urbn has been my and my husband's absolute hotel choice in Shanghai for years! Where, in the middle of the mega-sized city, can you enter into a tranquil micro-oasis with an unique ambiente, smartly designed by re-using fine materials and items from the old French Concession. However, the emotional good feeling is created by the (English speaking) staff, on all... More

It is one of the good experience stay in URBN hotel. Frontdesk named Roxicett and waiter in Beer Garden is super helpful and friendly. Only the room key is unable sometime and the plug is too loose need to change. Overall is very good and convenient. Recommend !

URBN is a very cool hotel, there's nothing else like it in Shanghai. It's small - only 26 rooms - so service is excellent and personalised. They were nice enough to let me check out a few hours later. The restaurant has a tasty range of food and the breakfast offered a lot of quality choice. The room was beautifully... More

Very good experience overall, the hotel is full of history, the design is amazing. Rooms and hallways include bricks and wood from the old french concession which only makes it more authentic. I would definitely recommend it! Please do take care of showers as they have a hidden strainer which is probably stuck by now as it creates a pool...

Repair broken false ceiling, refurnshing the bath tub with remove of black paints, to add some racks for private towel hanging, to provide one more chair in the room if possible, the basin too big while the tape too short, missing a shower rack in bath tub, the water pressure is too low in shower room.

Excellent service from a friendly receptionist with good English got our stay off to the perfect start. We were upgraded to a room with a terrace, which we liked - once we got used to the one or two steps up and down the spacious room. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. I slept better than in months! We... More

I'd like to recommend you have to stay here when you visit to china. the design, amenities, circumstance and breakfast were totally good. it took about 10min from Jingan station by walk. so taxi could be good option if you need to go to long distance.

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
