Large clean room, comfortable bed. Would have liked a brighter light by the bed for reading. Bathroom lighting is very odd: bright light over the bathtub drain, bright light over the toilet, but one can barely see at the sink/mirror. Very dim lighting in the hallways makes it difficult to see the room numbers on the door and insert the... More

Stayed here as part of a tour and was not disappointed. It is not a 5 star hotel but it is clean and comfortable and in an area with many restaurants and shopping. If walking around the block for exercise be careful of sidewalks that fall off suddenly into store entrances. One member of our group brook his elbow and... More

The hotel has good rooms, although the public facilities (e.g. lobby, restaurant) could use some renovation. The fitness center is essentially non-existent with broken equipment. Western food was OK. The hotel's advantage is that it is within walking distance to the Tian Zi Fang market that has a number of tiny shops offering pretty good deals on clothing, ceramics, jewelry,... More

In general, this hotel is fine. The hotel is well located and well priced for Shanghai, and staff can be very helpful. But the hotel should not be considered as a luxury hotel in any case. There are several items that should be corrected and that would make the stay much more enjoyable. First, the hotel can only provide one... More

Nice hotel and located in a fun area of Shanghai - very close to the French concession. Second hotel in China where there was a picture window between the bathroom and the main room - such an odd location for a picture window. Fortunately, one could lower a curtain to regain privacy in the bathroom

I had to go to Shanghai for the weekend and my girlfriend choose this hotel based on location proximity to my meeting. She bought it on Group Shopping for 366rmb for the night. Based on the location the hotel suited my needs. The room was pretty large and suitable but out of date and needs a serious renovation. Typical older... More

We stayed March 23-26, 2014 on the 10th floor of the hotel, the room was specious and well maintained with all kind of the ammenities. Staff was cooperative and spoke english, the USD can be exchanged at hotel with Yuan at reasonably good price. The location of the hotel is very near to west nanging road (shopping area ) and... The hotel is dated, for sure, and the carpet needs a good cleaning. The rooms are large, and the bathroom is spacious. The shower stall was small, however, and the light bulb above the shower was not functioning. I like the modern elevator security with the room/pass cards. I would stay here for a business type visit since it is... More

We stayed Oct. 20-23 on the 17th floor. Our room must have been renovated because bedding was nice, bathroom was large with all kinds of ammenities. Staff spoke English at the front desk. You can easily exchange your cash for Yuan at the front desk and there also is an ATM in the lobby. As noted in another review, there... More

This was the first hotel I stayed in when arriving from Vancouver. The room was large, quiet and comfortable. The lighting in the room however was very dim so I could not figure out how and what switches work. Barely saw myself in the mirror when I was shaving. Lobby had free wifi but was not a comfortable place to... More
