The location of this hostel is absolutely perfect, right on People's Square and just a metro ride away from everything you need. The rooms were nice and the actual hostel itself is very pretty; theres a nice outdoor space, kitchen area and an onsite bar/restaurant. There are local shops nearby for all your essentials. The loos did have a tendancy... More

The hostel is perfectly located, walking distance from everything in central Shanghai. We arrived at 1:30am and the after-hours check-in was seamless. Only flaw was that there wasn't that much of an atmosphere of people hanging out etc, which was surprising because the hostel has amazing common spaces! Might be because a lot of the common spaces are outside and... More

First, I didn't have high expectation while booking this hostel. But apparently, I am wrong. The hostel is quite cute. It is near People Square. So basically it is close to the Bund and City God Temple. There a lot of dining places around, but unfortunately I don't have enough time to try them. The hostel decoration is, somehow, well,... Stayed in two twin rooms with and without ensuite. Both were good rooms and the shared bathroom was only shared between 3 rooms so was almost ensuite. The staff spoke english and were very helpful. The common area was really nice. Not experienced a hostel with such a good setting. The crowing touch was coming back to a warm room... More

This courtyard-style hostel was a very pleasant place to stay. The location is really great (once you know which exit from metro to take), the staff quite helpful and many amenities available. On the other hand, the rooms were quite cramped and the Wifi was a joke - even though there were like 10 hostel wifi networks, one could not... More

I actually spent several months here in 2013 and 2014, leaving in late-May of 2014, in a shared women's only dorm. It became something of a home to me, and, to be honest, I miss it. That's not to say it's perfect, but I'll discuss the pros and cons, and you can decide whether it would work for you. Pros:... More

The location of the hostel is great, located right next to the JW Marriott Tomorrow's Square - good for a point of reference and also to spend time in their lobby on 38th floor with nice fast wifi - and just a 5 minute walk from the metro. It is also within walking distance of Xintiandi (15 mins) and West... More

Great location by People's Station. Stayed in a six bed all-female dorm that was in a smaller building on a terrace separate from the main building. Dorm was very clean, big and bright with large lockers. Shared bathrooms were a bit dark and not that clean, but not terrible either. Guests seemed to be mostly Chinese tourists, not many foreigners.... More

I spent 2 days, one night here. Loved the facilities. Ate breakfast in the restaurant which was pretty good. The bar, common areas and overall environment was very pleasant and well decorated and really a great vibe. Great environment to meet travelers. Very scenic indoors but my room was super moldy. The receptionist mentioned the first floor rooms tend to... More

As a first time solo traveller, this hostel did nothing in the likes of scaring me off unlike the stories I read on the internet of hostels in Shanghai pre-arrival. The first thing that settled my nerves was the energy at this place, so sincere and full of passion throughout both the guests and the workers. In my first hour... More
