Stayed here on 27 December 2013. Garden Avenue Hotel is a very very very lousy hotel. It was rated 4-Star or more. I rate it 2-star or worst. First, the room is very small. Second, the shower is leaking and spraying water all over during the shower. Thirdly, the pillow is very very very flat as though there is no... More

The rooms at The Garden Avenue are quite nice, bathrooms clean. That is were my compliments end. There is intermittent wifi in the lobby, it will log you out within a few minutes. There is no same day service for laundry, even though on the laundry sheet states if put in by 11am will be back by 7pm the same... More

Duration: 8th April 2012 Room: 1615 I had lodged all complaints to Song Li Feng (ie. Assist. Hotel Manager) 1) Indicated a "King Size Bed" in Zuji Hotel Reservation, but was given a "Twin Room" instead 2) Front Desk personnel did not even inform me (ie. hotel guest) face to face, what was my room number, & just placed the... I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights - Price was too cheap but for facilities provided. Only complaint was it is very far away from Pudong airport. But their is a Bus from airport and South train station is nearby. If you do not want in tourist area and like to have experience of other parts of Shanghai then... More

Shangai Garden Av. Hotel is a 60-minute far (bus+taxi) from Shangai Int. Airport. The hotel is a 20-minute walk from Shangai South Railway Station, which makes you spend too much time on transports. Guestrooms feature elegant and spacious interiors, a work desk, free internet and cable TV (CNN at least). Besides distance from downtown, service at front desk as well... More

Good - cheap! Nice enough rooms; on a good subway line; cheap; nice lobby. Got a decent sleep on the 18th floor. Did I say it was cheap? Bad - MILES away from the city. Shanghai is huge, but it's still far from the action. The bed was harder than marble; the breakfast was poor - stay away from the... More

We came here as Shanghai was full due to the Expo - there were other hotels that would have been gorgeous and that I’d have wanted to try but our... More

We made an emergency trip to Shanghai over the holidays. A family member was in a hospital nearby, so a relative booked us into this hotel at the bargain rate of $41 US per night for 2 people. This rate included the room, buffet breakfast, hi-speed internet, and 2 bottles of water per day in the room. On our previous... More
