I found this hotel by chance when I wanted to stay a few extra days in Shanghai. I can't recommend it enough! I don't want to give away the secret I loved it so much but I will because I rely on reviews when I am staying in different hotels. The price was very reasonable and when I checked into... More

The hotel is located in French concession, and walking distance to Tianzifang. The hotel is small, but has a very good standard and huge rooms with excellent bathrooms. Only problem is that the key cards doesn't immediately work in the elevator, so the waiting time could be longer that normal before the elevator starts. Overall the hotel is great. Would... More

The rooms are beside this world. The staff helpful and sufficient in English. This is the hotel you want as your retreat in Shanghai. Don't bother with the breakfast, grab something from Starbucks next door, and get out there. For taxis, simply walk out the door, and stretch out you arm. Make sure you have your destination written in Chinese,... More

Wonderfully comfortable and roomy. The bathroom was larger than lots of hotel rooms I've stayed. A few minutes walk from Xintiandi and Huaihai Road. Metro lines 1 and 10 are moderate walk away. The only (slightly) negative things: 1) rather indifferent desk staff, 2) somewhat hidden entrance, and 3) breakfast was at independent small restaurant around the corner--very limited selection,... It is located close to Fuxing Park, centrally located in the City. Rooms are spacious and very nice bathroom. There are starbucks downstairs. Downside is weak free wifi in room, english standard of the staff needs improvement.

The cosy design of this comfortable and quiet hotel, which is very nearby major shopping streets and restaurant district, but also next to a beautiful park, features compact dim-lit rooms with all comfort you need on a short trip. Friendly English speaking staff.

The problem with business trips is that you often don't have the time or energy to fully appreciate your surroundings. That is why, after staying at the Pudi, I am determined to return with enough time to enjoy the hotel and its neighborhood. The location is priceless: close to the center of the city, yet clearly in an older part... More

I travelled several times to Shanghai for business and usually we stay in very large hotels. On this recent trip I decided to try a new hotel, recommended by a friend. It is in a quiet street, and has a true boutique feel to it. The room was very large and well appointed. I appreciated the large bathroom and extra... More
