Beautiful modern spacious room with king size bed. Excellent bathroom set up and facilities. Breakfast sumptuous with great variety. Handy to trans[ort and nice view from our room. Room service and staff very helpful. We would certainly highly recommend this hotel for long and short term stays. 5 story shopping complex under hotel with huge supermarket etc.

Our stay in Golden Riverview Hotel where we stayed for 5 days was a nice experience since accommodated most of the wedding entourage that we were part of. The hotel served a heavy breakfast every day. Shopping around the area which is located in a very chic and had good fashion items.

The hotel is nice, rooms were ok, clean - as they can be in China, and it was close to the metro station. That was helpful as we wanted to visit the down town. The staff was helpful, they all spoke English and they tried to give us all the information we needed. Do not eat there. Not even the... More

Stayed in this hotel for nearly a week. It is very close to the underground station and also the train station making it a good choice for those wanting to head out on excursions. Room was clean and well kitted out with safe etc. Negatives are: Hot water took a long time to heat up Staff do not speak good... More

Had lunch here - wouldn't recommend it! When food arrived most of it was cold or tepid - when we pointed this out it was taken away & heated up. When it returned the sweet & sour pork was very, very greasy. Cabbage was very over cooked and pretty tasteless. Soup was like dish water, even after it had returned... More

So I stayed here for four nights in March of 2013. I speak fluent Mandarin and English and so did not have issues communicating with staff. Our room was kept quite clean. I can't complain. However, do note that the hotel is sneaky. First, we paid about $25 USD a night, on a "special promotion." But when we arrived, they... More

We spent a single night at the hotel after a very long and tiring day of sight-seeing immediately following a long flight across several time-zones. Suffice to say that when our guide dropped us at the hotel to check in early in the evening, we were keen to get into our room as soon as possible in order to catch... More

First, you got to ask yourself what you are looking for. If you are in Shanghai for tourism and want a decent place to sleep, this is a good choice. If you want that once-in-a-lifetime hotel experience, check in next door at the intercontinental, but keep in mind that it´s a 5-1 price ratio. The hotel is conveniently located near... More

Very close to Hanzhong Road Subway station and other major hotels and Shanghai Railway Station (but nothing else), which is ok because the subway can take you anywhere you like. I was very impressed with the Western menu at the restaurant (although the food quality was just OK) and the almost full range breakfast buffet. It is not The Hyatt,... More

Stayed here for four nights in December, and was not very impressed with the hotel. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The hotel seems like it was really nice in its day, but is now old and not well kept. The breakfast was ok, but not great. Service by the staff was good. Try to get a room on the... More
