I can't believe anyone would choose this place over somewhere like Le Tour Hostel. I can only assume that like me, this one turns up more frequently in search results. It's dirty. The bathrooms are small. The dorms are small and there was definitely leftover rubbish from occupants long, long gone. There's also only six seats in the reception area... More

PROS: good backpacker atmosphere with a mostly young crowd... there's a large bar/restaurant good for hanging out... breakfast was pretty good (make sure you mention if you like your eggs anything but overdone) CONS: I'm pretty sure this place is a hotel turned hostel, 6 floors makes for a lot of guests and therefore a somewhat apathetic staff. You don't... More

Clean, well run, convenient location (subway to town very close) and reasonably priced. Stayed in both a double room which was great (we were lucky to have a corner room) and then in a bunk which was decent. Could do with wireless throughout the building and something special to make it stand out (hence 4*s not 5) but otherwise great.

I stayed in a private en-suite room for 2 weeks in this hostel. The room was booked at a discount rate which was slightly cheaper than other chain budget hotel here in Shanghai. The location is nice, with metro line 3,4 and 11. There's a modern shopping mall nearby, post office, restaurants, and convenient stores. The neighbourhood is decent and... More

We stayed here 4 Night in February 2014, and it was great. The hostel is pretty big and it looks like a Hotel, it has a nice bar in the first floor. Rooms are very big, the bathroom is clean and nice. Staff is helpfull, Great location, just one block away from the subway station. We paid 169 RMB for... More

We stayed here last weekend for just one night. As other reviewers have mentioned, the rooms are a very good size (our family stayed in a double and a triple - both spacious). Rooms are clean and beds have clean white bed linen, and clean white towels provided for the bathroom. Little extras were included, like toothbrush/paste and disposable slippers.... More

Stayed 4 nights here over New Year's. We were very happy with the room (double ensuite). It was clean, spacious, had TV and wifi, nice bathroom, heater worked well, and a big window to let in light. That was about it though, the hostel does not offer much extra. We specifically booked a hostel over New Year's to talk to... More

For the price we paid we had expected a much smaller room. We stayed in a double room on the 4th floor and were very content with the room, the bathroom (seperate shower which you don't find everywhere in China) and the beds. We did some DIY laundry which means using one of the washing machines for RMB 20 (incl... More

The rooms were fine, basic but everything you need, and clean. There was some noise in our room because the window didn't shut properly, but apart from that the hostel was quiet. We organised an airport transfer with the hostel as our flight landed in the very early morning. There was a slight panic when they weren't there to meet... More
