This is at least my 3rd stay in the hotel. I always stay on the club floor. I agree with several of the reviews which are positive on the large room, very good beds, good size bathroom with separate soaking tub and shower. But as one recent review noted that the very large towel are nice but worn out. The... More

This was my second stay at this hotel over the past couple of years and my impression hadn't changed that it was a good business hotel, nicely appointed and most definitely a 5 star for Chinese hotel. Location: It is located in the middle of Shanghai downtown and easy to get to places you would want to go if you... More

I like to stay in this hotel when I am in Shanghai as traveling distance to our office and the airport is fair and much better than staying at the Bund. Prices are very competitive and the rooms are equipped with everything you need during a business stay.

Good standards for a 5 star Chinese hotel. Very impressive foyer, bar and general public spaces. Breakfast is good but not brilliant. The rooms are large, well appointed, with a good bathroom and a great view

I stayed 2 nights last week at Longemont for a business trip. Overall, a good hotel but doesn't match standards you could expect for this category of establishment. I was on the 42nd floor in a large room overlooking the back of the hotel. The hotel is lost in the middle of nowhere, it is located on the foot of... More

I have been staying at longemonth in Shanghai very recently, a very "Chinese" 5 star hotel which I believe is not worth the price I paid. Room fairly big, design colorful and dark, shape of the furnitures not very good, a refurbishment is needed very soon, generally within the room and the breakfast restaurant the level of cleaning is not... I stay at Longemont every time I am in Shanghai for business. Good hotel with friendly staff. The fitness center is quite bug and has a good selection of equipment. And the swimming pool, kind of a high floor infinity pool, has an amazing view. the size is also good, and is complimented by a hot tub.

Book this hotel due to proximity to my office, but it was just and average hotel, room is big but just average quality with sign of aging furniture, the shower drainage got stuck from time to time, and the Wifi keep dropping off, the breakfast is standard, nothing to be praise. However for that price, I believe you can have... More

I keep travelling to Shanghai almost every month for business. The hotel is situated in a convenient area with a Family Mart and Sichuan Restaurant very close by and a good 'food and bars lane' if you take a left and walk for 1 km along Ya'nan road. During my stays here earlier, I had got free upgrades to bigger... More

Stayed here one night whilst travelling. First stay three years ago and it seems to have 'slipped' somewhat - certainly not as nice as remembered from first visit. Breakfast acceptable. Staff polite. Nice infinity pool with good views over the Shanghai skyline - swim a dusk to see all the lights coming on. Despite this, next visit to Shanghai will... More

Staying in Zhongshan Park

Neighborhood Profile
Zhongshan Park
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
