This hotel is not bad, the rooms are large, the bathroom ok and overall a nice hotel with a good position. But the cleaning of rooms should be better, at first sight it seems ok, but looking better, the dust has not been removed from fridge and furnitures. The hotel is right in front of Shanghai peoples hospital, only 8-10... More

Through our first China tour arranged by China connection tours we have stayed for 3 nights from 16th to 19th November 2014. The hotel was found clean, calm and beautiful. we were got room at 21st floor from were we can see a good view of the city. The reception staff, Room service, Bed and Breakfast everything was good. I stayed at this hotel with my study abroad group. It was one of the better chinese hotels that I stayed in. It was clean and the room wasn't humid so that was good. They had western and chinese breakfast. It was okay. Honestly, I prefer the western chain hotels to any chinese hotel. However, it is good to experience... More

Stayed for three nights on the 20th floor in a room facing the rear of the hotel. Perfectly adequate and middle-of-the-road type hotel. Nothing particularly outstanding or memorable but fine for a few nights. Windows were drafty and provided limited insulation against the traffic noise but service was efficient and breakfast was good with a wide range of Chinese and... More

The hotel is within walking distance of The Bund. You can partly see the skyline along the river. The rooms are nice and clean, but with no room for storage or a closet for clothes. The WIFI was not working. The refrigerator was not working. Hotel guests are not allowed to sit in the lobby lounge without buying drinks. For... More

Nice hotel, good rooms, clean, large beds, excellent breakfast, free WiFi. So why avoid? Well it Like all other hotels in China seem to have double glazing that doesn't do anything, so when a 24hr building site starts up opposite you have a bad noise problem. AND when you start to renovate the hotel at the same time, best not... More

Hotel is 20 minute walk (alongside a polluted and smelly tributary) from The Bund. There are metro stations 10 minutes walk away but the hotel staff less than helpful with directions. Breakfast choices not great and first time I had the misfortune to discover the temperature at which the Chinese serve a cooked breakfast. Traffic noise from the main road... More

Stayed here for 5 days on business in May 2014 - while the heat outside was still very reasonable, the room (and others on the same floor) were very hot (25C and upwards) despite the airconditioning running full time. Several comments to the front desk didn't make a difference. I'd be careful booking this hotel during the scorchingly hot summer... More

We enjoyed our stay here on the basis of the location and excellent room. If you have the opportunity, walk around the back of the hotel (left out the front, left at the corner, first left again) and explore the local area behind the hotel. A buzzing market, local shops and friendly people happy to say hello.... a real highlight.... More

My first stop on my tour of China was here at the Greenland Jiulong hotel in Shanghai. On approach to the hotel i noticed it had that Chinese feel about it with the two huge stone dogs outside the entrance. The doorman greeted us in Mandarin and then English as well as the check in staff. The check in staff... More
