Room's quite cheap ( under USD 90 for executive fl.) and pretty good location near to the bund. • Same breakfast menu : only fried rice and Shanghai noodle are good. • Room is not very clean: do not walk on the floor with bare feet. • Staff are not very friendly: Housekeeper didn't find the room equipped power adopter... We had a fantastic view from our room at this hotel, looking directly onto the river and the Oriental Pearl Tower. You could not ask for a more spectacular scene. The staff were very helpful and kind - outstanding in fact. It is a fascinating area and you can never be bored here.

I had read many poor reviews of this hotel before staying here, particularly in relation to the wifi and politeness of the staff. Therefore I was pleasantly surprised to encounter very friendly staff and more than adequate wifi. My room was very big and comfortable and the breakfast was a mixture of western and eastern food. The best thing however... More

We are regular guests at the hotel and every stay is very pleasant, though this time we had problem with the hot water supply – there was no hot water early in the morning - and the free wifi didn’t really work, just sometimes. Earlier we haven’t met with any of these problems. The location of the hotel is very... More

A short walk to the Bund and the main tourist shopping street in Shanghai. Lots of cabs waiting outside at most times of day. Location is the big plus if you want to stay in the area, with lots of eateries, convenient stores and even a hospital nearby. Rooms are worn but clean. I liked that they were huge, with... More

It's very competitive in price, but that's it mostly. Room is OK, well, for a short biz trip but definately not recomendable for family vacation: Not very clean floor carpet and tiny bath room, water presure is quite low, and rather cold.. and the room temp is also not warm enough in this winter season. Breakfast buffet is not so... More

Ok this hotel is not perfect, a bit 1990s in some respects (eg internet connection in the rooms but no Wifi). However the rooms are massive and the hotel is located really near to the bund. We paid around £50 per night which represents excellent value.

Tripadvisor really was spot on here. The big positives are location and rooms - the view we had over the Bund was sensational and the location in general ws absolutely perfect for a 3-4 day stay. The negatives I read when booking were WiFi and staff. Sadly both were accurate, but didn't bother our stay too much hence booking originally.... More

rooms are very comfortable, with separate office and badthroom with nice bathtub. nice view of the Bund on the top floor. Location is so great... You can walk to Naijing Rd, to the Bund, to several markets. Also near stops of the Big Bus.
