I stayed here while I was in Shanghai last weekend for two nights. The room was very nice and spacious. We enjoyed the pool, specially because there were no other people there. The most important thing for me when staying in an hotel is the breakfast and I must say that it was very disappointing considering how much I paid... More

My favourite hotel in Shanghai. Fair cost/Benefits package/ Fast internet. Good location for Subway & Nanjing Road West Shopping Street. Many neaby hotels /Some cost more /Many cheaper but less benefits. This is Westerner friendly. Many assorted restaurants & bars nearby where you can get western food & draught beers. I stayed @ many other local hotels; Either internet is... More

This is a very nice hotel in anyone's travel standards. In the heart of a very interesting neighborhood, easy access, helpful staff, a fine breakfast as I recall. Well appointed and great views. I would return!

Walked into the hotel at 1am after a flight delay to find a member of the hotel staff sitting on the lobby sofa with 1 foot resting on the coffee table and the other foot folded across the first wagging it like a dog's tail. Not professional. Checkin was fast and I was given some earplugs due to the renovation... More

Have to stay in this hotel as it's a company hotel, and given the price of our company rate, I would say it's worth staying in this good location. However if I had to pay the normal hotel rate, then you are better off staying in Hilton or Swissotel (normal rates are at that level). The good thing going for... More

Nice hotel in an area that felt safe, just on outskirts of Shanghai but only about £1.50 taxi ride to The Bund Restaurant is quite expensive, but decent food - plenty of other places to eat in the area

Booked a room here before flying back to the UK expecting only to sleep but it made an ideal base for exploring the city too. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from Jing'an Temple and Park which are both worth exploring as well as Tourist Information, a large Mall and Jing'an Metro station. The rooms are comfortable and... More

Arrived in the early afternoon to the the sound of a pneumatic hammer which went on until 7.30 in the evening. Checked in to room 1821 where the noise was particularly bad. There was a small note bedside advising of the renovation. The hotel is situated a short walk away from numerous shops and department stores. Jing'an Temple metro station... More

Checked in at 02h00 due to flight delays. Check-in was functional, though hardly friendly. Was advised that the hotel was being refurbished, so noise would start at 08h00. Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
