This hotel is huge and really nice but it's dated and the whole place smells like cigarette smoke. First, we were given a room on the 16th floor but couldn't stand the smell of smoke in this nonsmoking room so we asked to move. They moved us to the 18th floor which was much better bc we could actually breath.... More

I stayed here due to the location, as it is very close by my office. On check-in, I got the hard sell of an upgrade to 'new' deluxe rooms which come with Wi-Fi. I purchased the upgrade and was disappointed. The rooms were obviously very new, so new it still had dust and dirt from the builders. Internet was patchy... More

Hotel is well located, 15 minutes walking distance to a good market area where one can shop. From low cost to top brands are available. Hotel is very comfortable and welcoming. You can easily get English speaking guidelines. Night life knowledge is at the front of the lobby so please be careful of tauts.

Apart from the fact that renovations to one bank of lifts won't be finished until mid December I found this hotel good value for money. Excellent locaiton near Nanking Road West and Jing An netroe station. Comfortable room and contrary to an earlier comment found the breakfast offerings very good (I put on 1kg in 4 days). Wifi pricy in... More

We were changed to this hotel at the last minute and to start with I was disappointed as we were away from the Bund.On leaving for an evening stroll The area is lit up beautifully, all the trees and the temple nearby making for a delightful stroll. The metro station is handy and within 45mins from leaving the hotel we were at... On the plus side, this was a nice modern hotel located close to Nanjing Road and the Jing An Temple, so it is well located. The breakfast buffet was outstanding; a great variety of Asian and western choices with excellent quality. There were English speaking staff who were friendly and helpful. On the down side, there was a 120 RMB... More

Thomas at Check-in dest was very helpful as well as Johnny at Concierge. The only suggestion I would have is to have more variety of Western food... More

Welcoming lobby area, reception staff cannot seem to look at you when dealing with you which I find totally unacceptable. Some floors under renovation which is badly needed throughout. Rooms dark and gloomy but reasonably comfortable. My bathroom could have done with a deep clean around the bath area - mouldy, grubby looking. Carpets were really grubby particularly in the... More

I stayed for two nights in September. I found the hotel reception quite cold as the air con had obviously been turned up. There was a problem with the lifts, I think that was where the incessent hammering noise was coming from during the day from very early morning. It was the only hotel in China where I had to... About an hours taxi ride from Du Pong International Airport (roughly £20.00) once through the airport turn right to the main taxi rank. The Hotel is old but was going through some restoration work in July 2014, dont eat in the hotel as its rather expensive.
