positives; for a rate of less than 500rnb in the city centre a 3min walk from a main metro station, main shopping street and from Peoples Square etc and only 10 minutes to Bund and etc, this is a 'steal' the rooms are spacious enough, comfortable, lots of plugs, minibar frigo, micro oven, kettle; bed has good mattress and 2... This hotel is next street to famous Nanjing Street and relatively inexpensive. Has free wifi but breakfast only offers local Chinese varieties. Room has windows but.....nothing to see. Overall this hotel is worth staying but not more than 3 days.

No greeting upon check-in. Not friendly receptionist. I get smoking room (family room). The aircondition in the room not functioning. We check-in at 1230pm and back to hotel at 830pm, the room still warm. when we call operator to help. They send housekeeping staff to assist. I stayed in this hotel for 6 days and will share the positives and negatives as follows: Positives: Good location for the hotel and nice property. Clean rooms and prompt housekeeping. Good breakfast spread (mostly Chinese). Very good sleep quality (Additional brownie points to the hotels for this aspect). Cheap as compared to other hotels in the vicinity. (Book through... More

If you want a proper night, don't go to this place. The real ranking is 3 stars instead of 4 (at booking.com), but I would not give it even 2 stars. The rooms are dirty and really not hygienic! The smell of cigarettes is everywhere (even in no smoking rooms) and service is bad! The breakfast is terrible! Only the... More

To start with positive aspects: the location is really good (between bund and peoples Square) and the price is cheap. The room is loud, noisy and smells bad. The service if there is one, is really bad. The room mate ignores the do not disturbe sign and it is really hard to get a second city map or a hair... More

Stayed here when I first came to Shanghai for business. Fewer international hotels back then. This property is purely about location- walkable to the Bund and Nanjing Road, and nothing else. Overtime I have an impression of "Chinese-styled" hotels like the characteristics listed below as compared to international brands. You will find: 1) Large grand entrance and reception. High ceiling... More

Stayed from 24-28/09. Room with old carpet. feel that unsanitary. Wifi connection was bad. Our room 1132 Really can't connect at all. Just to highlight that next to our room is a worker's room. 3-4 am still making a lot of noise and like hacking something. 😠。 Only the location quite convenience. Walking distance to MRT station, Nanjin Walking street,... More

This hotel is very well situated in Shanghai just off the main shopping street and 15 minute walk to the Bund. we took line 2 of the metro all the way form the airport to People's square and walked 10 minutes to the hotel. We got a really good deal on the room for 2 nights- much cheaper than others... More
