The hotel is near Nanjing Rd., the big shopping street, and People's Square. So, you can use it as a convenient base to sleep and shower before spending the day on the town. My room was a bit run-down, although not savagely so. The bathroom could have used a thorough scrubbing. I heard similar comments from other guests. On the... More

i would recommend it despite this hotel is quite old-equipped but it was a classic hotel back in the 90s i think. the facilities are not bad and i stayed twice over the past few years, the room is big enough and with everything ,but they only have wifi at the lobby thats not really not fun. they also have... It's only a few minutes walk from the People's Square Metro station, and only a block away from People's Square, but it's located in a relatively quiet area. The hotel lobby looks like it could do a makeover, but it nevertheless looks okay. The rooms are pretty quiet, and the beds okay, but the smoking floors really reek of smoke... More

Use to stay here ten years ago for good location, was not top level but comfortable. It is now totally degraded and dirty. AC set at fullpower with no possibility to adjust, carpets covered by stain, bathroom of another ageand, on top of the program, personal is absolutlety unfriendly (not to say unpolite). Guess the owner is just waiting for... More

I came on a weekend visit to Shanghai during a three week study trip. The hotel is in a perfect location near the East Nanjing Road metro, so not far to walk with cases and good if you want to get to all the shops on Nanjing Road early. 3 of us shared a suite room and the other two... More

I live and work in the city, and stay here long-term due to it's proximity to my office. There are scores of places to eat & shop all within walking distance, and a major metro hub is just a half block away from the rear exit of the hotel. It isn't super luxurious, the staff isn't super friendly, the amenities... More

Just a few blocks from People Square and one block from East Nanjing Road, the very popular shopping and walking street.Walking distance to the bund is less than 10 minutes. Rooms are comfortable and clean Most of the staff spoke at least some... More

This hotel had an excellent location, only a couple of blocks from peoples square, and right near east nanjing road. Walking distance to the bund. It had a nice firm bed, staff spoke English, breakfast was ok- pretty good Chinese breakfast with a couple of western dishes (eggs, sausages, cereal, toast). We thought it was good value for money considering... More

Never book through clear trip as they are not directly handling & will advise all the human beings to never go this un civilised hotel, except the location priority, very old hotel & ridiculous staff & maintenance.
