Well equipped rooms with sufficent space and nice bathroom including daylight. Cosy bed, enough space on the desk and free but slowly working wlan/lan signal. Breakfast with large selection of internation specialities. Staff's English skills as usual in China's hotels sufficent to handle not more than standard procedures. In absence, the AC cools the room too much down.

The Ramada hotel at caohejing tries to please its guests. The staff are polite and well trained. I was given ample fruits and drinking water on arrival. There are some additional attention given to guests staying on the executive floors. Selection of food for breakfast has always been adequate. It is a comfortable business hotel that you should consider staying... More

I spent two nights here in April. Finishes were to a very high standard (which is not always the case in China). Rooms were a good size and internet worked fine. In room wifi worked well. Hotel was not very busy during my stay. The hotel is beside the Hi-tech business park so very covenient for business...not at all suitable... More

This is the 4th time my wife and I stay at this hotel. It is persistently quiet, clean and smoke-free. The staff is brave enough to ask visitors to extinguish the cigarettes when they spot someone not following the rule. This is rare among hotels in China.

I stayed here on business as it's near our office in Shanghai. The hotel is very welcoming, though the rooms are quite small with just enough room for a double bed. The bathroom was quite small too. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of Chinese and western options. Coffee was truly awful though. Beers at the hotel bar are... More

The only things that I could find to eat around there were trees and rocks. I could eat the pavement if I had to too. That said, if you are on a holiday, expecting a nice hotel with plenty of things to do around, then she is not the place for you. However it does make a great place to... More

First time in this hotel, where I checked in for 2 nights. When I arrived, they had no non smoking rooms left, so I was upgraded for free to a non smoking suite on the 18th floor. The was quite nice, with a separated sitting area/office and bedroom. The bathroom featured both bath and separate shower. A nice detail is... More

I checked in the hotel on Nov 3rd for 2 nights. When I checked my room it was 25 degree Celsius. I set the temperature to 18 C and left the room for dinner. When I returned, the temperature was still 25C. I decided it was due to the sun shining on the window all day so I thought it... More

I have stayed here on 2 separate occasions and both times my stay has been very pleasant. Tip: ask for a fan on check in as the air con is run on a warm setting. The rooms are cleaned properly and efficiently every day. The hotel also arranged a transfer to and from the airport, this was also very good.

Although there's not much within walking distance, it's a great place to stay if you have business in the area - the staff is wonderful and very attentive and the rooms are very comfortable. The executive lounge has a nice Continental breakfast with eggs made to order. The lobby staff will call you a taxi and make sure the driver... More

Staying in Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang

Neighborhood Profile
Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang
West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities. While living here means you are relatively far away from Shanghai’s usual hot spots, the large parks, spacious homes and proximity to great Japanese and Korean food keep the neighborhoods popular.
