This hotel is located near the convention center, we were going to a show there so it was great location for us. So if you are going to do business this is the hotel to stay. Now, it is very far from the center city, unless you are willing to walk to the metro station (15 min) or take taxi... More

2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2007

My family stayed at this hotel after reading the last positive review. However, this was a bad choice. The hotel should have been rated more like a 2-star hotel in appearance and cleanliness. Also, there are no non-smoking rooms and the room smelled very strongly. It was very warm in the room and the windows can't be opened and the... More

This 3-star hotel is very good value, we got a rate of EUR 35 for a twin room just dropping by at the front desk with our luggage. Rooms are cleam and with enough space. Bathroom is ultra-clean. Staff is helpful though they speak little english. Breakfast is OK but almost entirely chinese. Location is excellent, very close to Long... More

Staying in Century Park

Neighborhood Profile
Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
