We stayed 1 night in April 2015. Reception was pleasant and quick. The room however felt very dated with decor looking decidedly out of fashion with mismatching fittings and old faded fabrics. It was clean and is well located but the lack of wifi was too much to bear. We didn't sample any food here. Personally I would search for... More

I stayed at this hotel for six incredibly uncomfortable nights. The hotel is has-been luxury property in desperate need of a complete makeover. The property is old and poorly maintained. Traveling on a budget, I opted for one of their more affordable rooms--a big mistake! The room was windowless, however, nonetheless, there were tons of flying bugs in the room... More

I am staying in room 407 of this hotel while writing the review. I have booked an executive suite which is the second most expensive room category. I asked for the highest floor of this 10+ floors building. The hotel describes itself on booking.com: "Spacious suite features internet access, fax machine and panoramic views of the Huangpu River." Price around... More

Generally happy with the hotel, our room, executive suit on top floor was large, clean with what has to be one of the best views of Po Dong and the Bund. Didn't like the 1970's wallpaper or waterbed and the bathroom was a little grubby! Hotel Staff have difficulty communicating to customers, when we arrived and presented our booking we... More

What better location than just off the Bund, with a view of Pudong's futuristic buildings on the left hand side, and the nineteenth century imposing buildings of the Bund on the right! A great buffet breakfast with that kind of view makes the day start off in the best of moods and energised for the whole day! Walking distance from... More

Where to start? Management at this hotel are asleep at the wheel. Forget about continuous improvement they seem to specialise in take it or leave it. The staff are poorly trained, with little English and poor attitudes. The check-in staff were the worse, take it or leave it, with attitude. I think they preferred that you leave. The Spa on... We were traveling to Shanghai for a Fair, my friend reserved this hotel without checking previous reviews (huge mistake), we had a room for on the 6th floor which is supposedly non smoking but everywhere smell to cigarette, that is no big deal, but I must complain about the carpet, so dirty that it makes you think about wearing shoes... On the positive side of things, this hotel is perfectly situated just a stone's throw from the Bund - one of the most spectacular waterside walks on the face of the planet. However that's where it ends. Our biggest complaint was that we booked a non-smoking room, but when we reached our room it stank of cigarette smoke, and all... More

Hotel is on The Bund itself, perfect location, all around you want to visit in Shanghai center is basically on walking distance. Rooms are clean but not exceptional. We stayed with 2 kids and for shower was available 2 big towels so we asked for 2 more but they said it is not possible and we can only get it... More

The location of the hotel was great with it being close to The Bund. The price was really good and the charm of the hotel is nice. However, there are a few areas which really made this a disappointing stay. 1. Smoking. Only the 2nd floor contains non-smoking rooms. If we wanted one we had to pay an extra $35... More
